And I can tell you from 27 years in the state that the people moving IN to California don't have as much income as the people moving OUT of California.

I thought about the loss of tax revenue as we regisiterd our cars here in Nevada recently. It's not just income tax and sales tax California is losing. It's also tax revenue from things like car registration. Multiply our two cars by the hundreds of thousands of people who are fleeing the state because California has become a liberal dytsopian hell hole.

quote:

California had 190,122 more residents move out to other states in 2018 than arrived — a 38% jump in a much-discussed outmigration benchmark, new Census Bureau data shows.

More ins than outs — or what experts call “net domestic migration outflow” — is frequently blamed on California’s high cost of living, from housing to high taxes. And the state’s liberal politics have soured some conservatives on Golden State living.

Census figures show 691,145 Californians last year left for other states — the largest loss nationally and up 4.6% in a year. It was the seventh consecutive annual increase.

Put all the incoming ones on the train to nowhere.

I still can't believe what a catastrophe that was for California

West is the ideal direction for them to go.

Do you know the rates and schedule of the tax proposal that would affect those out-immigrants?

Was it over 5 years beginning at 50%.

I lived in MB/Hermosa for a few years- great weather and beautiful women. I really enjoyed it but homeless issues and all the other crap really ruined it.

I knew you'd leave California eventually. I'm so happy I have a dear friend in Nevada now who has offered me the guest house, a generous vacation stipend and use of the family Bentley. I appreciate you, man.

Holy shite

I was going to use my usual "small % of th population but they have 39Mil. If the moveouts get up to 780K that's 2 percent a year leaving, offset by mostly trash of dubious legality.

the question is when does it start to impact California's numbers in both the House and consequently the electoral college?

Ha! Good catch. We just moved and I didn't think to update my td.com profile.

Dang, now I'm going to have to update the profiles of my bookie Diph Thong, Televangelist Rev. I.L. "Ike" Bush, Famed psychic Myra Maines, my redneck neighbor Bubba Hitler, my attorney Aristed de Fendant, Buddhist monk Phat Dong, my mobbed up Middle Eastern clothing supplier Achmed Soprano, ESPN Spanish broadcaster Eduardo Espanol, defrocked priest Father Tutchem, my gay neighbor Buck Hollywood, and bluessman T. Willie Mo'ribs

Mierde!

I remember seeing they might lose a seat or two this time, with the leaving they have not grown as fast as average this decade.

It is all about how fast you are growing vs. the nation as a whole.
