I struggled my first year out the military (retired Army) 15 jobs. Finally learned you cannot talk to civilians the way you talked to folks in the military, Also found out that some civilians don't give two craps about the company they work for, just the paycheck. ...

At one time it almost became a real conflict. I was in Germany on nuke site, we went hot (got missiles ready to fire) We usually stayed that way for about 30 minutes then stood down. This time we stayed hot for almost 48 hours.
