Are all the people in that state living on the coast?

And that's with a net outflow of conservatives from the state. At least that's my guess. I'd welcome any analysis on who is leaving CA for TX and other places.

A friend from Orange told me this was happening a few days ago. Cali - NJ are in play if we focus on them

gain of 9 counties. That's grassroots. I wonder what the net gain in votes was within those counties?

Imagine what the map would look like with voter ID requirements.

Cali isn't close to being in play. The coastal population absolutely dwarfs the interior counties.

I just left the inland empire area.

Saw numerous Trump flags and Trump bumper stickers; was a bit surprising (in a good way).

The issue is complacency. Like my pastor said, Christian's are the most apathetic and lazy voters in the electorate. If they ever got serious and mobilized, they could make a huge difference in turning the country.

You have over 330 million people. 161 million registered to vote. So far, nearly 141 million voted in 2024.

California is as Red as Texas when you get outside of their large cities. It just takes people getting pushed and motivated to go out and vote.

I think the large number of voters where economy, but I also believe a good portion knew 2020 was FOS

Do you blame them ?

The democrats have turned California into America's shite hole.
1.5% of their wealthiest tax base moves out every year

That's was Kamala's blueprint for all states.

Gavin Newsom is their leading candidate for 2028, hopefully JD will wipe the floor with his liberal arse.

Gavin is part of the Pelosi Clan Too

More than $102 billion in income left California from 2020 to 2022 as people migrated to other states, according to IRS data cited in a July 31 report from the Legislative Analyst's Office (LAO).Aug 23, 2024

Now do New York, Oregon, and Washington. I know the gap closed a little in all of them, I would like to see how.

Orange was a very red county until 2016. Prior to 2016 the last time it voted Democrat in a Presidential election was 1936!

Unfortunately, LA County alone has a population of 9.6M people. That's a larger population than 40 US states! It' might be nice to see CA go "not as blue", but it is currently a LONG way from becoming a red state...unless this election portends hispanic/latino people shifting to R's in large numbers.

Plus cleaned up voter rolls and no more electronic voting machines. Paper only. California would all of the sudden look like a much, much redder state.

Most people that aren't old enough don't remember that California use to be a very red state despite all the hippies in San Francisco and weirdos in Hollywood.

Orange was always a Republican stronghold. When I was stationed there in '88-'92 and lived in Laguna Hills, the OC and San Diego counties were GOP bastions. That was back when B-1 Bob Dornan, Dana Rohrbacher and Duke Cunningham were the Reps from the area.
