If they don’t, bud could be in trouble.
Just tell them to switch to another Anheuser-Busch staple. These big companies are doing themselves a huge disservice by not having a redneck in the marketing department.
Busch lights new slogan would be " enjoy your Busch without the penis".
They would double their sales in no time.

I won’t ever buy bud light again. It’s been my go to cheap beer for a long time.

Whiteness verified, otherwise you would already know your favorite cerveza is Negra Modelo.

Bud Light sales actually have been declining for years.

Usually, when an Executive costs a company milions, they get the axe.
Wonder how they handle this stupid bitch's major frick-up?
If I'm on the Board, I'm pointing out that anyone this out of touch with reality will likley do something further to cost AB money again.

Michelob is owned by AB-Inbev, that owns Bud light. Craft beer is what took away market share from the macros, followed by seltzer.

All very true, yes they have paid displays in every store, but it has to sell to be replenished by the distributor to further be replenished by AB themselves, it all stops with us, the kegs stay full and the store cases stay full it’s really that simple( yes I’m aware of there portfolio) I like beer and have been drinking AB products all my adult life, look I’m gonna miss ice cold bottles of Budweiser but I’m done with them.

Eighty percent of Bud Light drinkers ordered something else this week, Brewhouse owner Alex Kesaris said — while the 20% who did order Bud Light "weren’t on social media and hadn’t heard yet" about its new transgender pitch person.
"They didn’t order it again," he said, after other patrons told them about the Bud Light marketing misfire.
One pub in Hell’s Kitchen, a New York City neighborhood known for its large and vocal gay community, reported that Bud Light draft sales dropped 58% this week, while Bud Light bottle sales were down 70%.
Yikes

Even if it goes back to normal they will have lost millions if not billions. Pretty much the opposite of what you hire a marketer to do.
My post a week ago to CAPEX, who was predictably calling this a nothingburger:

And while we will probably never know the exact numbers, there’s not a snowball’s chance in hell that the decisions made by at least some of these executives will cost the company millions, if not tens of millions of dollars. They stigmatized the brand.
I don’t drink that piss-water, but you can bet the farm that not a single small group of normal male friends will let their buddy live in peace if he breaks out a Bud Light, and rightly so.

This is going to take longer to see, IMO. It's so far removed from the decision making, it will take a while to reach there. First, the customers have to stop ordering long enough (or be vocal enough) for the restaurant to notice it. Then, enough restaurants in a given area have to slow their ordering enough for the distributors to notice. Then enough distributors need to notice the slowdown to make waves with the brewery. So, it needs to happen on a wide scale and go on long enough for a lot of people to notice. Yes, lost tap handles are hard to get back, but AB is starting so far out in front of everyone else that it's going to be a while before some places figure it out. And that's without accounting for the sweetheart deals they've given to bars and restaurants all over the country to get those tap handles in the first place.
If this were a normal circumstance I’d agree but its not. This is sudden and lasting. Bars make good money on taps and if Bud taps are staying full the bar is losing money if not enough other taps to fill demand.
Thwn you will jave others try and take market share. This was ironic timing for Yuengling, as they are expanding west. Starting in Jan they started selling in 3 west of Miss river states, OK being one of them. All the sudden you have loyal BL drinkers who hate wokeism that now have a perfect alternative. Last week Yuengling was the number one drink at my local pub and was in tap. Manager said she had to replace the keg during shift.
Keep in mimd regardless all the knocking of BL seen written here, lots of drinkers are loyal out of habit and had no reason to use other brands. At whatever young age it was they acquired that taste and stuck with it. It was the number one sold beer in USA.
But now you just gave all those loyalsits a valid reason to try other beers. And because of conviction thos drinkers are looking for a new loyal beer to stay with. Yuengling just gained market share that won’t go down only up.
The sales drop will be immediate. Imagine how much beer BL made last week then all the sudden no/little new orders come in. Their wareshouse are full of made beer. Can they switch production to other brands quickly? I doubt it due to compliance and quality control.
The numbers reported all over the country are valid. And bars need taps to be used to make money. Especially since BL was their #1 tap, they can’t wait too long to replace them with something else selling better.
Yuengling stands to make a huge leap at least in my neck of woods. Its a better beer but wasn’t sold here before and now BL pushed everyone to try it and yummy, its much better. No matter what BL does they won’t go back. That ship sailed.
I recall back in the 70’s when people mocked Japanese cars and said they’d never get any decent market share. American auto laughed at the Japanese cars and kept making their shite boxes. The rest is history. Thats what BL did to all Americans last week. They laughed at us and now its personal.

Big opening for Miller (or someone) to double down on “toxic” masculinity.
Sales would spike.

The softening of Bud Light sales has NOTHING--let me RE-peat that-- NOTHING to do with Anheuser-Busch going "woke."
It has everything to do with changing tastes. Niche beers such as Belgian Fat Tire, IPA's, Shiner Bock (in Texas) and local crafts are selling like hotcakes, and making obscene profits. AB's products are just too 19th/20th century for today's market.
