He wouldn’t commit to voting for him that’s for sure.

Any talk of who could successfully run against him?

There will be plenty of interest. Graves is an obvious candidate.

Does Scalise want to make the jump with MJ likely cemented as speaker? Steve would likely be a shoo in if he runs.

That depends. It is not like the Louisiana Legislature where seniority follows you between houses. He would still be a junior Senator from Louisiana and have to work up the seniority ranks for prime committee placements. Plus with his age and medical issues does he want to have that grueling of a task. That could be why he said no to putting a fight with Jeff for Governor. Now the interesting thing could come if Trump calls Jeff to become AG. That would throw a huge monkey wrench into state politics.

What a weasel!

quote:

U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy has congratulated President-elect Donald Trump. It’s the first time in over 100 years a president has won after being out of office for four years, taking the Electoral College and the popular vote. Cassidy says the future looks bright for the country and Louisiana.

“He’s gonna be pro-energy that’s going to be good for Louisiana. I think he’s going to have a better policy on the border. So I think there are going to be a lot of positive things the American people voted f or and will see becoming reality.”

Cassidy voted in February 2021 to convict Trump of inciting a riot on the U.S. Capitol building in January of that year.

The Louisiana Republican Party censured Cassidy for that vote.

Earlier this year Trump called Cassidy one of the worst U.S. Senators and said he was total flake.

Cassidy says despite what many think, he and Trump have been closely aligned on many issues including healthcare and energy.

“What folks don’t realize is that I voted with Donald Trump his first four years more than my fellow Senator John Kennedy, just slightly, but to just point that out,” Cassidy said.

Cassidy says he’s looking forward to the Trump Administration unlocking domestic energy production, creating jobs and providing economic security.

“If we are having to buy rare minerals from China to build batteries, because we don’t want to use our natural gas, we take our energy security and we transfer it to China, which means it becomes energy insecure,” Cassidy said.

Cassidy will be up for re-election in 2026.

If there were any justice, he would be swinging from an overpass in Bossier City.

I agree that Cassidy has to go. He is a rat and a traitor.
Slimy disgusting disloyal politician.

Under no circumstances will I ever vote for him again.
We need to primary him out.

Is there a less self aware or relevant member of the US Senate right now?

The problem is finding someone to run against him now that Bollinger is fundraising for Cassidy. You forget how many morons we have in this state and overcoming even a shitty incumbent is difficult.

Despite saying he would only run for two terms, that no-good scumbag fricking lying c*cksucking motherf*cking RINO piece of f*cking FILTH is already out there fundraising for 2026. He had a little swanky get together with Boysie Bollinger about 4 or 5 months ago.

The OT and the PT have to get together and have another GoFundMe to put back up those billboards from four years ago. I forget who ran that but I’m guessing we can put a lot more money together for 2026.

At the same time, we can all change our avatar pictures to the billboard art with the caption, “Primary This RINO Traitor“

I remember there was some issue with writing TRAITOR across the picture so they had to settle for CENSURED. It would be nice if they could go back to TRAITOR.

Some billboards with his creepy smile and name with a caption that reads ‘I’ve voted with Democrats to impeach Pres Trump’ should do it.

I thought that he was done after this term?

If not, then it is our duty to primary him in whatever capacity he runs in. He has shown his true colors, now, let's show ours.

Dear God, I hope not!

1. Don't think Jeff is near the most qualified, and I don't want a Culture Warrior. I want someone who will fight meanful battles
2. Don't want Big Billy as governor
