Millennials and Generation Z will be able to keep SSN alive for the next 40 plus years. Millennials are already the largest generation in the workforce. In 25 years boomers will be almost gone.

No matter how much we put down Millennials they will be paying more into SSN and taxes. This may help stabilize the debt when the boomers are gone, because the Xers are small generation.

Nah... I'm good. I will give you Boomers a sliver of credit for an accidental by-product. While y'all were burning your bras and abandoning your home duties to have two incomes, you did create some independent latch-key creative problem-solving kids to fix the disaster we have today.
That is the most ignorant thing I have read about BOOMERS and does not apply to me. The moms of nowadays pussify the kids and they all win and get awards and antibacterial soap.

Par for the course with your "me" generation and thank you for valiating my posts above (not that I needed it).

Boomers... sad sad sad. No worries though, Gen X will bear the burdens you've created.

So we could help our millineal off springs more by paying off the debt than giving it straight to them. Let's all redo our living trusts and all give 1/3 to debt reduction? One third of 68T is 22T. Debt = zero.

That meme is complete BS.

You are referring to a time frame where most didn't go to college and more worked trade jobs. The Steel Mills and Foundries paid very well. I am almost a GenX. The people in your meme you are referring to would be my parents and my father went to college and obtained the highest degree. My mother stayed at home and worked later.

Speaking of us boomers. Consumer Cellular offers the identical plan that I was paying my well known cellular company $180 a month. Consumer Cellular is $45 a month for the same damn thing.
Just moved my 84 year old mother off of DirecTV ($165 a month) onto YouTubeTV and Hulu. (Combined $46 a month).

We should be using it to pay down the $20 trillion debt accumulated during the Boomers' lifetime.

I agree, contact your congressman who was in power over the last 15 years....oh wait, they all suck, and should remember the last statement Mussolini made that all in history remember...

If you vote for socialists you should forfeit inheritance for the good of everyone.

Let’s take this freedom to the individual level.

I'm a GenX, so I don't really beat on Boomers too bad.

These lazy bearded millennials I see every day in my office building, I don't know what to say.

Truth hurts doesn't it... It's ok, you can admit to all the wrongs.

Oh that's right, the self-centered Genaration can't do that. Sorry for the expectation that Boomers take responsibility... silly me.

As a Gen X (‘74)I hope I don’t see any of that money for a long time. Would rather my parents live a long life.

Would rather it just pass from my parents to my kids..... as I would hope to be well in to my retirement age when they pass.

My grandfather is 95 and counting, so maybe....

It boggles the mind how many still have time warner cable boxes and are paying $200 plus per month. Roku with Spectrum internet/wifi. FuboTV TOTAL inc the internet- $60 a month. Fubo has sports and changed their opening screen and has a regular format just like the expensive ones.

Still have Antenna TV and used it after the Hurricane.

Isn't the whole point to try hard and work hard, so you can give the next generation something better than you had??

So you can leave them something that will help them achieve more than you ever could, and not feel the pain and struggle you had to go through??

And so then they maybe be able to do the same for their children and grandchildren???

Whatever happened to that idea, that virtue, that noble cause, that desire to uplift your own kin and help them become successful in ways that were never possible for yourself... and hoping that they do YOU and your name proud??

Or are you so damn ate up with a self centered, egocentric, ethnocentric ideal that you are just too selfish, close minded and willing to let your own blood be damned??

There are doors in this world that can be opened for future generations that you and I will never be able to walk through, but one day our children or grandchildren might... I know I want them to have that chance... I am willing to give everything have so my own blood can have a better future than was ever offered to me

Why the hatred?? Why the hostility?? Seems a bit unnecessary when the alternative is love and success
