I have not reached the bracket in your description, being at the tail end of boomer and beginning of gen x. Perhaps you got that response with your rant against a large group that have done the best we could with what we had. I was brought up to NOT be a "me first" person. I paid a large amount into SS and am nearing the age where I can get back some of what I paid. Will it be enough to retire on? No. Am I blaming anyone for that? No. I worked and saved to offset. I was raised to avoid being a victim, to be responsible (and accountable) for myself and my family, to contribute to society at work and at home and in my community.
Then you come on here and post a giant shite on me and those like me. Sure there are assholes in every generation, yours included. Deal with it and quit being a victim. In that you come off like a sad progressive.

Once all the BS is cleared up in DC, North Korea is a little further on it's way to peace, and relations are improved with Russia - the DOD should start work on a system to use some of their older and unneeded drones to target the telemarketing call centers. I'll bet that it won't take chain gunning more that 2 or 3 of the India call centers before no one will work in call centers any more.

I don't know how many fricking times I have posted that the Millenials I know aren't shitheads and that I feel bad for them because all polls say the majority of their age cohort are.
That is way different than saying "millenials" are this or that because they aren't. The shitasses who get all the pub for being "representative" of them are dumbasses though and that is undeniable.

Back in the 50s to 70s, you could get a great paying job just out of high school (plants for South, Union jobs for North). But today the expectations laid out by employers is MUCH higher for even entry level positions. The joke about 5 years experience for entry level is a parody of the job market (not now, but a few years back).
We are producing more graduates than ever before (and a good percentage of them are in STEM, businesses, healthcare,etc.) but we all know that jobs arent created by degrees. They are created by government letting businesses have freedom.
We can make arguments about education and what's expected. But we need to cost control the education system before we can make quality changes to it.

My nephew and 2 daughters are going to inherit a massive fortune along with 40 some odd franchises. All 3 of them are lazy and dumb as bricks. They won’t be able to manage any of this. I almost want to leave it all to a few key longtime employees who work their asses off and will actually appreciate it.
