Our trade war was the provocation
The admin thought we could bully them with our size and their dependance on us.
Canada is simply pivoting strategy
Do I want more Chinese influence in our continent? No. That's why this trade war was so stupid and short-sighted.

Why should a smaller dependent nation concerning trade dictate terms favorable to themselves.
"favorable to themselves" is good framing and ignores Trump's prior negotiations, but why should the US get to dictate terms unilaterally AND prohibit Canada from looking for other options?

So you dont think the trade imbalance between the US and Canada is an issue?
No. It just is a sign that we're richer than Canada and can spend more on imports.

You must be mostly French Cajun. Got a good dose of that surrender gene.

Pushing for actual war is declaring that you're surrendering from the trade war.

You know the current cliche that drives us all crazy? It is what it is.
And I've watched multiple Canadian content creators very recently.
You are so busy posting to watch this but it is seven years old. So what we see today is much as he described it seven years ago. Many Canadians at their core are anti-American. He explains why.

lol no
We could send the Cajun navy and some redneck gun club militias to defeat Canada

I’d be worried. They have already infiltrated all of our golf courses. And I could barely ride my bike Saturday for all the goose shite on the path

Was the trade war the provocation? Or was it them being Chinese whores and allowing China to undercut our tariffs the problem?

I don't think anyone in the US really cares about Canada, but if they keep whipping up their populace they may actually try to attack us.

frick Canada. We need to just go up there and take what we need/want. What good is being a hegemon if you don’t exercise hegemony?

gotta love the fricking morons here who are saying that Canada has been doing nothing to us

Time to initiate the first phases of Operation Beaver Hunt.

Is Canada a stronger country than Iran?

Have you been to British Columbia anytime recently?
quote:
We can play any misdeeds they do against them and the EU. The EU won't function without our partnership. And then there is NATO. We can probably have them kicked out if they are working against our interests. If they tried to build some defense relationship with China, not good.
Sorry, but I suspect you are mistaken. Mark Carney's aggression towards Trump is precisely because he is representing the EU against Trump. That is why he has been covertly and overtly trying to influence the US midterm elections .... nor is NATO a friend to the US. They've been actively trying to drag the US into direct warfare in Ukraine for quite some time now.
Lastly, you must differentiate between Canadian leadership (bad) and the average Canadian citizenry (good, but completely in the dark). State-controlled media and TV is an abomination.
