Define "fail", because the likely answer to that question is likely "this exact moment", and has been for a few years.
The Russian economy is very shitty.

Shoot that question to stat4ever.
He made that assertion.

So the Saudis are committing economic suicide too?

I would be careful falling for this propaganda. Russia has been buying gold for years to back their currency while the US has nothing but a promise to back theirs

It already has. Only a fool would think otherwise. If it weren’t failing, you’d see large amounts of investment into Russia, which just ain’t happening chief. The Russian economy is doomed and has been since 2022.

How hard will you cheer for suffering Russian innocent civilians?
What a stupid question. I never have. How long you gonna keep on cheering for the suffering and murder of thousands of Ukrainians? And how long are you gonna keep on cheering for Putin to try and stick it to your own country?

Link to me cheering on Ukrainian suffering and praising Putin?
I think you’ll giggle at the suffering of normal Russians.

I wish I knew so that I could place some bets.
If it does and they pull out of Ukraine, beware that the second wave of grift begins.
Billions more will be spent on the rebuild and the corruption bonanza between U.S. politicians and big rebuild will be turbo charged.
It will be another wave of cash and will make inflation worse.

And what?
Now that the petro dollar is ending. What will make the USD strong and hold confidence in the future?

You seem to have not thoroughly thought out anything. I’m not going to tell you what to think. You can make your own decisions and comparisons, on the effects of the Saudis ditching the US petrodollar, and going to Chinese Yuan or Russian Rubles, for the Saudis. And then you can list the pros and cons of doing so, and make a decision on to what would be the best decision for the Saudis, that causes the least amount of economic hardship as possible.

They will just sprinkle fairy dust and pump in unicorn farts at the fed. All will be good then as Biden and Yellen promised.

You first.
Again, just like a woman. Deflect.

Well you were the one accusing me of cheering on the suffering of Russian citizens first, soooo, you should be the one to back up your claim before me.

The same thing that always has. Our economy and military that have no close rivals. These make our currency safe and stable.
A gold-backed currency from a failed economy like Russia isn't exactly an enticing option. Same with a manipulated currency from a failing economy in China.
Again, if the EU/Euro couldn't make an impact on the USD, with their economic prowess, stability, etc., why do we think a bunch of backwater countries who have a lot of internal conflict/turmoil can do better?

You answered my question.
You claim that you won’t cheer for the average Russian suffering. Good. That’s very kind of you.

The fact that the US Dollar use to be the sole currency for oil trading was huge and provided a lot of clout.
Losing that is a major blow to the dollar.

The Russian economy is mostly tied to commodities the biggest being O&G. As the world wide demand and supply for O&G goes so does the Russian economy. There is no where near the financialization of the Russian economy as there is in the U.S.

a. This is a very, very small % of oil trading (it's just some SA oil and China).
b. This is unlikely to last long, for reasons already explained.

Which is not good.
And they also don't produce anything of high value or innovation, for the most part. They have a very limited economy and a terrible PCGDP situation.
Three US states have total GDP above Russia, with all of its O/G productivity
Russia's PCGDP is right around $15,270 (around 52nd in the world)
The 3 US States?
California: 100,042
Texas: 62,483
New York: 90,730
Like I said, shitty.
