I disagree. This basically equates them to the perp who hypothetically assaults police. Shouldn't there be a discernable difference between the behavior of a violent criminal and leos sworn to uphold the law?
Exactly.
This exchange highlights the issue. LEO (and their irrational supporters) believe that LEO should be permitted vengeance in response to a suspect's actions. The proper policy/procedure is restraint and creating safety. In no way is a proportionate physical attack warranted, unless you want to promote LEO blood lust.

he allegedly spit at someone, and of course that level of criminal activity the cops are able to do whatever they want to the accused.
But was there a second spitter?

Nothing alleged about that. Im retired military that was trained in LEO tactics as well as military. You don't let adrenine take over in a situation.

If that guy assaulted an officer - let’s say he sucker punched him in the mouth - then they should be forgiven for beating the shite out of him
No they shouldn't.
They should restrain and arrest him like they are trained to do
Or if they want revenge how about the cop and the hit and the victim fight one on one not 3 on 1
Bunch of govt and LEO bootlickers in this thread and I bet most will tell you they are small govt convervatives

This, and it will not matter once the facts are out because the perp was the wrong skin color for it to matter.

Maybe he raped his 10 yr old daughter. Would that warrant it?
It's ok when she's forced to have the resulting child she can get healing from that. Or so I'm told.

In a thread about a cop beating? Man, you guys are freaking obsessed with being able to end a life. It's creepy.

8 pages and no one has mentioned the fact that the guy is clearly not complying. Officers are trying to put his hands behind his back for handcuffing but he is actively resisting, so what are they supposed to do? Say pretty please with a cherry on top? GTFO with that bullshite. Yall do yall and dont let clear fast get in the way of anything

No one knows wtf happened so we're all postulating. That's what a discussion does.
Safe to say you're the serial downvoter however.

Just responding to a previous poster bro, no need to get your sandy vag all in an uproar.

Honestly, my first thought was, "wonder what he did to deserve that?".
Would love to know all the facts. Looks like he continued to struggle, not giving up his hands to be cuffed.

This is what every thief deserves. I hope this teaches him a lesson.

The most important question still has not been answered…who are the chicks jamming out to Master of Puppets? Pics would be nice.

Not that I blame you, but you obviously didn’t read the whole 8 page thread. I got downvoted sternly for saying exactly that.

Alleged beating by Crawford Co Arkansas Deputies caught on video NSFW
They gone. Old boy with the stripes on his sleeve is obviously up there in rank and likely close to retirement. Now he'll have to work at Home Depot or some shite for the rest of his life.

Most of the guy's hand movements that I can see are trying to cover his head from the beating. That's a pretty reflexive action. And if there was such a struggle to subdue him why did the guy who was smashing his head into the concrete feel comfortable enough to look around, see someone videoing them and point his finger at the person recording? In a true struggle wouldn't that hand be needed?
I understand that violence never looks pretty; it looks violent. I understand that being tentative invites resistance and it's dangerous, so if you go hands on you don't pussyfoot around. But I also understand that the digital age has taught us that police no longer automatically deserve the benefit of the doubt, and yelling "stop resisting" isn't a license to beat the hell out of someone because you're amped up. I wouldn't automatically string them up without more info but it doesn't look good. If you can't control a guy with 3 on 1 to the point that you need to grab him by the hair and smash his head into the curb, maybe policing isn't for you.

I don't think any here ar arguing that force was totally unjustified. I think we're all questioning the smashing his head into he pavement and pummeling head shots into him primarily.... It's not like cops are the only profession you have to restrain people in...they're just the only one with liability reductions and protections for their actions.
