I can't vote for either Republican candidate. They're just incredibly bad. And no way is JBE getting a vote. Sitting this one out and watching JBE win easily

The letter reeks of desperation. Sounds like Abe wants Cotton to lay off of him.

Dear Dr. Abraham:

Rispone is not sending votes to JBE by trying to beat you in the primary. He’s trying to beat you in the primary.

If you actually beat JBE in the primary, I will vote against JBE.

Sincerely,
Rispone Voters

I know people on this board think it is a foregone conclusion that Rispone is going to finish 2nd and Abraham a distant third. I think it is going to be very close

I agree, and all of us that care need to vote and not be persuaded by the so called experts telling you this thing is over because it’s not.

Vote for your guy no matter what “they” say.

The fact that you've parroted this multiple times on this board shows your complete ignorance of Rispone's history.

haha, well Abraham released this publicly to score points against Rispone.

My thoughts exactly.

Rispone’s response however will be “Trump, conservative outsider bizznisman. Prioritize, outsider.” He’s basically a mad lib version of a politician.

I finally watched the second debate last night. Rispone will be an unmitigated disaster. He kept talking about “how we don’t know where the money is going. You need a businessman to get in there and figure it out and prioritize.” The budget is a public record that’s gone over every year. It’s on the internet and you can watch the debate on television. You’re running for Governor and are saying you can find money and will prioritize things but can’t take the time to look at the damn budget or appropriation bill?! And you can’t say what will be “prioritized”?
This guy has no plan and no clue of what’s going on.

continues his medical practice CAREER POLITICIAN!!!!!

How could that be true? I thought he couldn't practice while serving in Congress. That is what he told all of us at least...
The House's ethics rules say he can't profit from his medical practice while serving in the house.

He can practice medicine, and he still is part time pro-bono, but just can't profit from doing so.

The level of willful ignorance on this board is unreal.

People who understand how the state works know that there is little transparency in state government and there’s only so much you can glean from reading a budget, or even an audit.

Both Abraham and Rispone to their credit have stated they will cut spending that’s not necessary. They talk in generalities because specifics would be used against them and would be so much minutia to the voter that it wouldn’t matter.

It’s about trust.

Do you want JBE who said he wouldn’t raise taxes only to pull a Louis Renault and feign surprise when he learned he needed two Billion more dollars to balance his budget so he raised taxes?

Or

Abraham who has an impressive career, s conservative who is a relative novice in politics, who has businesses but who has only short stints as an administrator?

Or
Rispone who made his mark by starting as a hand and who now owns and runs a business with over 3500 employees, but who has no public record?

How dare Rispone actually try and win the election!

Sounds like ol' Abe can't stand the heat. He should do the right thing and drop out.

That would just improve Edwards' chances of winning re-election outright in the primary.

Rispone attacking Edwards spiced up things.
Hopefully each Republican is now able to energize their people and get them to the polls enough to keep Edwards at about 46% then lookout!

Then we need to come together and put one of our guys in the mansion.

I'm growing more and more convinced Edwards will be re-elected, if not outright in the primary, then in the runoff when the supporters of the Republican who comes in third will be so pissed at the Republican who comes in second they will just sit out the runoff election and not vote at all.

I was afraid of that too, but recent events are starting to change my mind.

For one thing I don’t think Pence and Junior are coming to La. to be embarrassed, and I believe their appearance could stir up the natives who were less than enthusiastic than the diehards here.

I have my candidate, but I’m not pouting. If he loses I’ll get behind the winner(2nd place) and write him a check.

Another four years of Edwards would be a killer.

That settles it. You have convinced me to vote Abraham. frick Rispone for attacking his character based on "he lied and broke his oath".
