Legal immigration happens and has since the beginning of America. What can not and must not be allowed in illegal immigration. Opening the flood gates to allow any and all undocumented illegal in is the destruction of a country.

Doesn’t matter with AI, Automation, and advanced robotics on the way. We won’t ’need’ 330 + million people. Also, even if we did the answer isn’t to import low IQ, uneducated, unskilled people from the Third World the answer would be to import the best and brightest from the First World only.
The only countries so far that have figured this out are Japan and South Korea. They know they won’t need as many people once AI etc takes total autonomy and control over their economy and lives.
Let me ask you what are the 20 to 40 million low IQ Illegal Immigrants we have here going to do when we have Bankers, Lawyers, Doctors, Nurses, Information Technology, Engineers, etc out of work? Tel, us what your p,an is for the low IQ, uneducated, and unskilled. Lay it out.

AI and automation will take care of most of that.
You don't maintain your standard of living by importing people that foster a decline in your culture (intellectually, morally, etc.)

Really hasn’t been an opportunity for anyone to simply chime in on “immigration” because the “illegal” part has been casting the biggest shadow over this nation for years.
But you know that.
Bringing an argument that would seemingly imply the Democratic Party has only ever been really concerned and motivated with maintaining America’s GDP and economic productivity - hence their open borders m.o. - whereas the GOP does not possess such foresight is disingenuous.

Imported, amoral individuals from heathen culture buying into DEI propaganda will demand ‘equality’ regardless of accepting any degree of contributing to the labor of their coerced benefactors. They feel entitled to, aggrieved and hate the prosperity of those who foolishly welcome them in.
Good people now fear the criminal element when it should be the other way around. The hate will increase as economic systems are stretched. Europe is toast. Live and learn.

False. Your reasoning on this is so shallow and limited that comparing it to the depth and width of a wading pool would be to woefully over-exaggerate the depth and width of wading pools.
GDP is pretty much a fancy UBI, with deficit spending vs GDP growth well over 1:1 (more like $1.43:$1) and the resulting inflation is skewing that ratio more and more towards needing more deficit spending each year just to equal $1 growth in GDP.
In other words, nothing is going to "sustain" GDP other than more deficit spending... until it doesn't.
With that as a foundational understanding of the GDP issue, approximately 53% if immigrant-led households are on welfare, so more of that is the exact opposite of what we need.
Immigration? Sure, but productive immigrants who wish to acclimate to US culture. Illegal immigration or those who simply wish to transplant the culture they are fleeing here? No, that's a suicide pact for the US.

Even if fertility picked up we’d need immigration to bridge the gap. The immigration discussion is comprised of sensible people and two kinds of idiots.
One group of idiots thinks it’s a great idea to just throw open our borders. Another group of idiots thinks we should shut off all immigration. The sensible group knows that America badly needs immigration, but immigration can be bad or good. We should shut off illegal immigration and increase selective legal immigration of people who want to assimilate.
I’ll give a recent example which was much commented upon - the U Texas football game from which came the photo of a bunch of youn Indian men wearing burnt orange and cowboy hats. Some commentator complained about the number of foreigners. I thought, “That’s the kind of foreigners we need. They plainly want to assimilate into a culture they admire.” Give us more of them, and keep out the goatfrickers who wear turbans.

We are in bad enough shape with our own homegrown bunch of illiterate animal behavior.
We are a nation built on immigration - but the success of that growth/prosperity characteristic was built on the FACT that people had to earn what they needed either thru their own work or having productive parents/friends who would help them out of their own personal assets and NOT the government pantry.
What the Democrats want are enough welfare consumers to get them over the top on Election Day. Democrats and RINOs are all to willing to 'buy' voted for themselves with O.P.M.
Of course once the democrats have seized every arm of the government, then those who depended solely on govt handouts will find themselves unneeded since the democrat can just change the rules so that 'voting' can be relegated to a strange once-curious exercise.
