But you ignore the part about robotics. The work that your beloved third world immigrants are currently doing will be replaced by robots. Crop picking, hotel cleaning, roofing -- all going to be done by robots in the not too distant future. And then, under your proposal, we're left with a huge glut of unskilled, uneducated people. Your proposal is terrible.

I don’t understand. Are you saying that the birthrate is higher than they claim? Am I supposed to ignore the evidence we all see - that most young people are waiting to have children, and then having either two, one or none?

The lie is birth rates falling will result in a diminished standard of living and the only way to prevent that is to import millions of third worlders while incentivizing them to reproduce rapidly.

That’s complicated. We could maintain a good standard of living without the immigrants, but we would have to radically pare back our social security benefits/increase the age at which they can be taken, and we would have to stop deficit spending. All of this would be very difficult to do and to navigate without severe recessions.
Another thing that would happen is that America would rapidly lose the technological lead in the world. Genius along these lines is a freak of birth. America gets the lion’s share of these geniuses because they immigrate here. Stop that and they will find another place, and that place will come to dominate us.

Are you saying we can increase the quality of life by having more and more people? That my life would be extremely better if the population of the US was 3 billion?

Not at all. Your assertion that geniuses are being born at a significant rate to sub 100 iq parents across the third world is naive.
They aren’t.
Neither is it true that immigrants are necessary to replace a work force (you specifically mentioned tech) when the vast majority are under qualified and exist only for the accountants.
America doesn’t have a workforce problem. America has an entitlement problem.

The truth is women (from both parties) stopped having enough children, for whatever reason.
Thats why immigration is the only way ...
"Whatever reason" represents an insufficient and intellectually lazy exploration of another "way" to solve the demographic conundrum.
Rather than running to a counterproductive secondary stopgap (immigration), an intellectually curious individual would pose hypotheses and solutions related to the childbirth challenge.

Translation: when one finds himself in a bad or untenable situation, like the immigration/debt mess, one needs to stop doing things that make it worse.
Our debt, deficits and terrible ROI-rendering SS program need to be pared back. Not expanded. If there is associated pain, so be it.
