In this case, the prisoners dilemma refers to the legislators. Many of them know what the best thing to do is, but if they do it, their opponents will slaughter them. Their opponents would like to get it done, but they can't avoid taking advantage of the chance to slaughter the other guys. So even though both sides would like to balance the budget and behave responsibly, neither side does it because... the prisoners dilemma.

I have zero issue with immigration but it must be legal. We also need to implement policies that many other nations have. You cannot immigrate here without being able to prove that you can and will provide a skill or service. We cannot allow immigrant to come here that do not have a job and they immediate are sucking on the government tit. You must prove you will be a net positive and not a negative to the economy.

Illegal Immigrants have been living off the American taxpayer well before Biden. Also, an argument can be made that perhaps the most destructive President for Illegal Immigration was Reagan. Granting 3 million low iq illegal immigrants ‘amnesty’ just emboldened more Illegal Immigrants to come here thinking they too one day would be granted amnesty. If the base of GDP is a service economy based on population how does that GDP number benefit Americans. It's bullshite, we need a lower population.
