Agreed, blue metro policies are so insidious they even infect rural areas.

Yep…. Bc alienating 75% of your population is a great way to run a government.

The point is not to win surface areas, it's to win votes.

There used to be good jobs in rural areas. Those jobs are now in Mexico, China, Thailand, etc.

Oh...you're talking about the majority of people and not land area? Well, then, over half of the population of Georgia lives in metro Atlanta. Throw in Macon and Savannah and you're around two-thirds.

Yep that would qualify as fewer and also help explain why we have more blue counties.
I agree. I’m just pointing out that 81% of counties is a low number to expect a win from as a Republican. You have to limit the contagion of Democratic wins to much fewer counties.

Majority of the state by area or population?
Majority of the political subdivisions known as counties and majority of the population of real Georgians.
Are you really this fricking stupid?
The population of Georgia is 10,800,000
The population of the combined statistical area of Atlanta is 6,200,000
The population of metro Savannah is 400,000
The population of metro Macon is 230,000.
That's 63% of the population of the state living in metropolitan areas.
Your math skills are dogshit. You sound like a "real Georgian", that's for damn sure.

It is the black voters in the cities.

That's been the case for 50 years, what's changed is that now suburban Atlanta white women have veered left compared to even a decade ago.

Why should you get a say in what happens unless you are invested

Imagine valuing land more than people.
Which people, these residents of Hotlanta?
OR maybe the folks living in this Atlanta suburb?
I bet all I own that every one of them voted in the last election cycle. I care more about what the fish in the Georgia Aquarium think of who should be their US Senator than these folks.

You have a lot of MAGA and Rino voters who will sit at home if not liking such candidate.

There are lots of counties that have very few people. There are a few counties that have tons of people.
