And low crime too.

Statistically? Likely

But also higher rates of other social pathologies (reliance on government money, drug use, obesity, smoking, etc.).

We just had this thread last week where people were promoting the idyllic rural life of 25+ years ago that doesn't exist now. Rural areas are now places where people don't work, live off the tit, and abuse drugs (meth and fentanyl) at disproportionate levels higher than urban areas.

That is the new political math....a few dense blues areas are more valuable than plentiful sparse red areas.

It's the way it's always been though. People vote and are represented that way, the land has nothing to do with it. It's not a difficult concept.

More people voted for the slimy guy, he won.

I mean...I don't know of many European urban areas that wouldn't make the victim complex population of this board have daily meltdowns.

Hard to believe that many people can vote for/condone pure evil.

Tribal warfare clearly in play.

81% of Georgia counties voted for Herschel Walker

...and over 60% of the land area in California is under Republican representation in Congress.

Both statistics are meaningless. Unless Republicans make significant gains in urban/suburban areas, and learn to accept early voting and mail-in voting opportunities, and cast off their Trump fetish like three-day old underwear, they'll continue to lose meaningful elections.

I think the point is fairly obvious Atlanta controls the entire state, which is fairly rare for a southern statute.

This is indeed our failure as a state. To let that happen is nothing but a failure plain and simple. Its like a cancer and the rest of the state is the host.

Ask yourself, who do people congregate in cities?… is it bc of economic opportunity and resource availability?

I can get a gov handout in Valdosta just as well as I can in Metro Atlanta.

The escape now will be to mid sized cities that have decent economies and are not dominated by Democrats.

It’s a real shame people want to move to places that have economic opportunity and things to do.

Why can’t the whole state be like Selmer?

So what should the state have done? Become Louisiana and have anemic growth?
