Notice they don't list defense. The US pays for that for them, freeing up their budget to pay for all that other crap.

I don’t disagree with you as a whole, but why is this a bad thing. We need more people in skilled trades.

How about things that government provides for free so shittily that most people have to pay extra for just to avoid the shitty government versions:
K-12 education
Healthcare
Transportation
Police
Fire protection

I do not know about now, but back in the day in Europe kids were split up based off testing and placed generally into 2 groups
University
and
Trade school
It was a good thing and those trade school kids would make good money. Those German cars are pretty dang good.

If the "government" is going to start paying for healthcare, vacation, parental leave, etc then more people need to pay federal income taxes, and likely significantly higher taxes in the lower income brackets.
As it stands now about 45% of households pay NO federal income tax. On top of that ~20% of households get the Earned Income Tax Credit, meaning they actually GET PAID money from other people's tax contribution.
In addition, people who are in lower "socioeconomic" classifications tend to have higher ongoing healthcare costs due at least in part to poor dietary and health decisions, but will be paying nothing into the system...so something's got to give before more entitlements are created.
On top of all that fun stuff, as a small business owner, I already have the pleasure of paying for staff's vacation benefits, holiday benefits, matching retirement contributions, half of their FICA, unemployment, etc. I would love to do health insurance too, but am unable to justify the expense at this time because everything else is squeezed so tight.
So who is going to pay all these wonderful benefits for me? I assume I will, as I do now.

True. But foreign colleges don't have the extreme tiers that US colleges have.
IE, there is a huge difference between Harvard and Southern. That's not the case in other countries. It's more like the difference between LSU and Texas.

Ooooh, “Other Countries”. Sounds exotic. Maybe you should move there leech.

The government doesn't pay for these things, the citizens do.

Just out of curiosity, what %of the population in Britain and Denmark receive government assistance? How many multi generational welfare families exist in those countries? What’s the labor participation rate?

While there are some problems with the OP's list, the larger issue is with the idea that any of the stuff is free. Healthcare in other developed countries is not free. Instead, the residents of the country pay their premium to the national health, or whatever they call it. We pay our premiums to private companies who skim substantial profit off the top. Either way, you pay for it.
Same with college. instead of paying tuition directly to the state owned colleges, you pay into the fund that pays for college through direct contributions, typically categorized as taxes. You still pay for it. It isn't free.
The data does support the proposition that paying into a national health gets more bang for the buck. We can have a legitimate discussion about that, but nothing is free.

Government doesn't produce anything so it can't provide anything. It steal economic freedom from tax payers and gives it out in their name

We need to start giving free helicopter rides.

Good. People should be in touch with the cost of things like healthcare and education; otherwise government will let corruption and waste drive costs and diminish the quality of service.

That is weird because me and every single person I know get some form of paid leave right now without government bureaucratic involvement.

Not sure what this means. There is a country with a government that just gives everyone baby items? How does that work?

College
Everyone can get loans. Get a degree that will let you make enough to pay it back. It's your fault if you go $100,000 in debt for a $25k a year job. I worked full-time when I was school, too, as did many others I know.

Healthcare
Vacation

Get a good job, and you'll get all this. This is not the government's responsibility. My friend's company is even paying $45,000 each for him and 17 others to get a master's degree.

Baby items
Daycare
Again, get a good job. Don't have kids you can't afford. People on welfare already get this, anyways.
No one should have to pay more taxes so someone else can be given something they don't deserve.

Thats like 85% of the population.
I am not talking 10 kids, but two. Any halfway big metro area is at least $1k/month per kid. On the east coast thats $1.5k/month per kid.
Can you afford a $3k/month hole in your budget for two kids?

Most of those countries don't give their lives in battle. They let Uncle Sam protect them.
