Aside from FICA taxes the other amounts (generally) withheld are what is specified by the employee on their W-4s, so employees could alter what’s withheld via the employer to pay to the government.

Perhaps it would be better if the employees were responsible for making those payments, because then people would pay more attention to “their” money being sent to the government. The problem with that is the government knows it would be much more challenging to keep people accountable to what they “owe” the government!

The people who administered remdesivir should lose their licenses, this was fairly common knowledge at the time to lead to organ failure, which lo and behold was the cause of death of many of these patients.

There should also be mass prosecutions for those who formed and knowing promoted these guidelines.

Your experience is polar opposite of mine. I agree the movie was great, but I looked around and was nothing but silver heads in our theater. My wife and I were the youngest there by far.

Definitely a timely movie, and it touched on a lot of parallels regarding what’s going on now, except now the enemy is within our borders and “ruling class”.

I don’t think it means they can seize your property for anything more than temporary use. I would surmise it means they can utilize it if needed to directly mitigate the emergency.

I would also imagine there would be repercussions available to the property owner if this were abused (which it seems is the commonplace usage of these “emergency powers” with the tyrannical Latoyas and of the world). Truly, they should get locked up if this is ever abused to any degree.
