If Biden really loved the working class he would have proposed a $100 an hour minimum wage.

I’m going to enjoy it when these hipster idiots who push this kind of thing can’t get their “craft” beer, eat at their exclusive local bistro, get coffee at their “craft” roaster and their hip parts of downtown dry up because their small biz can no longer compete with the big monopolies the leftist government is in bed with.

We are IN idiocracy.

fricking morons that have never done a productive thing in their lives get to set insane rules for how I and others run our businesses. I hate them so much.

Especially youth unemployment and low skilled labor.

Like most leftist ideas, this one will hurt the people it professes to help the most.

Maybe you should not make posts concerning wages until you have owned a business.

There was an unintentionally great news story by npr that I read a while back where a woke restaurant owner began paying his employees $15 an hour. He raised his prices to help cover the costs of increased labor wages. His customers stopped eating at his restaurant, opting to go elsewhere or eat at home. When customers did come to his restaurant, they ordered less food, skipped drinks, and spent less money. A couple would share an entree rather than order two entrees.

He had to let some of his staff go to make money. It was only a temporary respite, kicking the can down the road. He still couldn’t balance the books. He eventually had to stop paying his employees $15 wages.

What did he learn from all of this?

He blamed the customers.

He was right and good, they were wrong and bad.

the comments on that tweet are proof that we are doomed. the entire comment section is filled with people saying “if you think $15 is high you should see what the minimum wage should be” or “$15 still aint enough to live on”. one moron arse white girl said “if you cant afford to pay $15 an hour the dont open up a business but instead save your money for a few years than open up a business”. the level of stupidity in that comment alone is just off the charts. so we are supposed to save up our money and then pay our employees out of OUR bank account because some old shite says we have to pay some pizza boy $15 to make a greasy pizza.

But the business can afford it once the raise their prices and pass it off to the consumer. I bet the person who posted this and the people who liked it do not have businesses

Uh huh. And Nike will continue to sell them shoes made in sweatshops with near-slave labor.

This only hurts small business. The McDonalds of the world will keep getting federally funded by SNAP and the like.

If your goal is to destroy America as we know it resulting in the elites ruling over a permanent underclass, then a 15.00 MW is a perfect tactic.

The concepts of undergraduate level microeconomics is hopelessly lost on so many in this nation

It will eventually collapse our economy, driving wealth inequality to levels these people could never before dream as we encounter stagflation and the only people moving up on society are those with equities.

That’s like $31k a year full time. Let’s not get carried away on what an unfathomably out of touch standard it is.

I’m not arguing $15 is the right number but do y’all think any form of minimum wage is in need of being eliminated?

These people seem to think that $15 min wage just means that their pay will go up. What it really means is that min wage jobs will decrease, cost of all goods will increase, and people making above min wage will not see a wage increase thus resulting in increasing the “wealth gap” that they are trying to get rid and further decimating the middle class.
