I had a great trip deer hunting in Texas this past weekend. I should have about 25# of cubed meat ready to be made into sausage. I live between New Iberia and Morgan City but travel to Lafayette, Baton Rouge and even the Houma area on a regular basis.

Can you recommend anyone who makes great sausage?

Benoits in Addis has great smoked sausage. Tremonte's in Baton Rouge was pretty good.

Years back there was a place in Bogalusa that made good sausage, don't recall the name.

Depends on what you like. Bergerons in Port Allen is my favorite. Will not go anywhere else.

Full Rut Meat Shoppe in Walker. Great stuff. Jalapeno cheese deer sausage is out of this world too.
