Good: Son got a deer all on his own. Picked the spot, set up his blind, etc.

Bad: I haven't been yet.

Bad: This is the least amount of activity I’ve seen in my life (deer, duck, fish).

Good: Work this year has been the busiest year on record.

Good: I got a doe and a buck the first weekend.

Bad: I hadn't been back because of a family gathering that resulted in a quarantine.

I'm headed up this weekend and will also get a post Christmas hunt.

Good: Managment of all wildlife is probably the best it has ever been as whole.

Bad: more and more kids are getting wildlife management degrees because of Animal Planet and not hunting. A lot of them don’t agree with hunting, and have very liberal ideologies.

Good: Daughter got her first deer last sat

Bad: Let a bunch of mature deer walk last year thinking I'd have a sure enough giant this year and none really made a huge jump

Having a very good season, numerous encounters, had a mature buck snort wheeze at me less than 20 yards away (a first), meat in the freezer, all public land.

Bad is it is flying by and my busy season starts after the new year.

Good: I haven’t spent any money (outside of lease payment) on hunting yet

Bad 1: I haven’t hunted yet due to football being pushed back so far this year

Bad 2: I can’t find .270 ammo anywhere.

People are more selective of which bucks they shoot...good

Leases are freaking outrageous...bad

Eta- I thought we were talking overall/generally?

If personal..

Bad...full moon was right in the middle of our rut. Bucks when complete lockdown mode. Maybe too many does.

Good...#1 my 80 yr old dad can still climb up a tree stand. I thought last year might have been his last year of hunting independence. But still going strong.

Good #2...ive gotten to take my 3yr old. (Almost 4) little diva princess a few times and she loves it.
