What do you do in the afternoons when you're duck hunting in the morning?

My brother and I are going to make a couple days of duck hunts in CENLA. We're wondering what would be the best bet for the afternoon, since public land doesn't allow hunting then. We don't have dogs, so rabbit hunting is gonna be tough.

Drive around and creep geese in fields along the highway. The farmers don't mind as long as you don't pester them asking for permission.

Since deer season is closed here, except for a smokepole or string, my squirrel dog is getting a pretty good workout. Boat's about to get one too.

Is it worth attempting that without a dog?
