I like to run through wmas, jumping islands and creating new habitat. Nothing I love more than stirring up resting birds

i went Tuesday on public land about an hour from my house. set my alarm at 2:15 cause we had to take a boat 10-15 minutes once we got there. Hunted until about 8:30-9 then i slept until 10 pm lol...haven't gotten back on a normal sleep schedule yet

Of course that makes it easier but you can definitely get a few just walking in the right cover. Look for young growth areas - ideally younger trees with a decent, knee to waist high undergrowth (but not really thick)- they'll just sit in little openings in the undergrowth digging for worms. Can also find them in areas with lots of saplings. Will do pretty well walking down slightly overgrown forest trails and roads. They're pretty fast so you'll have to be a quick shot. Worst case you just have a nice hike in the woods.

I'm not a huge duck hunter, but we usually drink beer and cook, watch ball games and dove hunt.

We used to fish, but we were in the marsh. What public land are you hunting?

If you are headed up this way be careful. A lot of roads are closed due to flooding and there is deep water where it is normally shallow just remember that.

Yeah baw. I'm buying up every bit of swamp assassin I can over the off season. I'll be stacking bands next year. #flatbillskill

It's whiskey season.

Eat lunch, take a shower, rest for a while...Then make a whiskey and ride back roads looking for deer and ducks. Just to look at them of course.. Find a restaurant about dark and then either hit a bar or back to the room to sleep.. That's pretty much how all my trips go..

Only two logical options.
Deer hunt
Drink and cook
