Tell me more about soft science; comfort, slip resistance, washable, smell, durability?

I’ve had them 3-4 months and really like them. They’re just about as comfortable as a tennis shoe, slip resistant, washable, and the smell is not too bad. I think the key is to pull the rubber sole out after each use and let them air dry well. I forgot to do that one trip, they got pretty stanky, but cleaned up well in washer.

I think I paid $50ish on amazon for the fin 2.0... I first saw them at The Sureway in GI and had to give them a shot. Crocs are nice for yakkin but not so much for all day on ya feet for a big boy.

Columbia Megavent or Drainmaker. Best boat shoes I've worn by far.

Under Armour Kilchis. Dry and drain incredibly quickly. Pour a scoop of oxi clean into the wash and there’s no smell that won’t come off. No stain issues either. Very comfortable.

I ordered a pair of these and found they were too narrow for my feet and the arch wasn't right for me.

I have wide flat feet though so I don't blame it on the shoe. Just wanted to bring up in case the OP has the case of hobbit feet as well.

man... i bought some this past year and wore them as much as possible and its like they just won't break in. decent for short term, but after a day in venice this past spring, i had to go back to my reef flops... its almost like my feet are breaking in to the chacos rather than vice versa... mofos kill me

I either go with flip flops and and take them off when I get in the boat or if it's the winter time I wear something that I can slip off really quick of I fall over board. Either my white shrip boots with a Spenco Insole or my regular work boots

Bought a pair of soft science and really like them. If in doubt go to larger size.

I second Soft Science.

Just got a pair of Fin 2s. They make a Fin 3 as well.

2s are 2 eye boat shoes 3's are 5 eye. They make a slip on and a bootie style as well.

I wear Under Armor Kilchis in the summertime.

Once the temp drops, I wear the XtraTuf Ankle boots. They are super comfortable and keep my feet dry. I wear them around the house all the time. I got them as a gift last year and I can't recommend them enough.

You could just go with the originals.
