Damn there's a lot of hate in this thread. I thought Sammich and Hypnos were friends? 
But I completely agree with you, Sammich. If you have ever been bored and wanted to waste your life listening to me talk to a camera, you'd see my videos about leaving a HD shotgun loaded.
And people who carry a handgun with the chamber empty are at even more of a disadvantage. I have talked to numerous people about why it's such a terrible idea.
And for those who haven't listened to my manly, yet smooth and suave voice:

EDIT: I was thinking about how I would act in this scenario if I had been sober and heard the shotgun rack.
I feel like I would immediately move to the car to my left for cover, that is after I shite my pants. But I wonder if this is the right move.

I wasnt advocating that that train of thought is correct, was just merely stating that it isn't limited just to "everyday folk."

I'd hope I could keep my cool but out of nowhere like that I doubt it.
But, one thing I definitely wouldn't be doing is gluing my face to a cell phone and not being aware of my surroundings...

Unless the guy was holding the gun like a complete puss/moron, I would have probably given him my cash. That's just not enough time to draw down or take cover. With that being said, I probably would have heard him running towards me at that hour

Had to use one of my guns tonight. Thanks to it being loaded, I was good to go.
Dam dogs attack a coon in the yard, breaking it's back. Was still alive and very pissed. Dam dogs woke me, raising all kinds of hell. Went outside with said gun and flashlight. Finished that sucker off. No more barking.
