That's what they all say. I was somewhat sympathetic until you said he was drinking. If he can't afford food how is he getting booze? Lemme guess...he was sampling some of the shine he been making on grandpa's still. Moonshine don't sell like it used to so he shot the deer to make ends meet.

Fish are abundant. There is no excuse for what he did. Food pantries are everywhere. Local churches have been asking to help.

I’m willing to bet that if anyone on this board was in that type of position we would have been in a tree with a bow,or gun, during the day, not out at 1am drinking while spotlighting out of a truck with a rifle. I mean hell, let’s just go after one of the animal that could get us In the most trouble as possible, and to top it off let’s do it at night and while drinking.

Like another poster said he is probably making more money now then he was when he had a job.

Apparently you’ve never been hard up with a family relying on you to put food on the table.
Hard up with putting food on the table for his kids but no problem getting enough booze to get himself a DUI

Sorry your friend doesn’t have his priorities in the right order, assuming the story is true and not a troll

Uhhh, catching poachers like your friend. Seems like it's pretty effective too.

He lost his job due to the virus and times have been tough for him and his family lately.

since he's your good friend, why didn't you go buy him some groceries so he could feed his family ? $100 worth of bread, milk, eggs, cheese, Kool-Aid, and lunch meat goes a long way. Ol' baw gets busted committing multiple illegal acts, and you're asking the OB to help get him out of trouble ?

I told him the opposite. I’m curious what green jeans is doing out on public land at 1 in the morning. Something doesn’t seem right there and that needs to be looked into, hopefully he’ll be able to get the charges thrown out.

I was going to say, your friend isn't real smart, but then I read the above and I'm not who is dumb and who is dumber.
