Never have but it sounds like a blast and sad to see the tradition fading.

Would much rather do that then sit over a bait pile.

It is a blast.....but a pain in the arse. Did alot with dogs when i was younger....

I prefer still hunting, but do not blame others who like to run the dogs.

PS: Some huge bucks are killed with dogs!

Some of the trashiest humans in the world are wealthy.

I had terrible experiences with deer dog hunters in Louisiana. Some of the most entitled people I've met. I understand it for running rabbit or fox, but for deer...nah.

Trying to dog hunt on 100-200 acres surrounded by 5000+ acres of still hunting is just asking for trouble.

If you will notice, I am talking about years ago on 20000 private ac. Big difference in now running small tracts of land and hunting on roads. Something unheard of in our time.

I can’t imagine why dog hunters get a bad rap.

Flushing game with dogs is about as old of a hunting method as you can get. Very traditional and its awesome. Much more exciting than a box stand and a corn pile.
Sitting on a pile of corn isn't hunting it's premeditated murder When sitting on a pile of corn the decision isn't typically am I going to get a shot it's more so do I feel like cleaning one today.

Dog hunters make it out to be more noble, ethical, and respectable than it really is.

Anti-dog hunters are right in the majority of their complaints, but are a bit harsh on the insults. I get it. I had the misfortune of being in a club where the neighboring lease ran dogs illegally on ROM land. Their practices made me loathe dog hunters. They were the bottom of the barrel. I know all people that run dogs are not like that though.

I've never thought of it as any of those things. I think of it as fun and more sporting than watching a shooting lane or piles of bait.

I know there are guys on here that go out and scout all season and hunt scrape lines in climbers, but the majority of still hunters I know are boxstand corn-pilers.
