Ever since Hurricane Katrina, crows have become the dominant birds in the New Orleans area; other species have become scarce. Crows carry numerous diseases, some of which can harm humans. I wish the local governments would address this issue by starting a program to kill these damn birds.

It's a migratory bird, and thus protected. There are depredation orders that can be used, but not as a blanket for a city to just slaughter crows because somebody has a problem with them.

What disease are you worried about contracting from a crow anyway? Most all diseases that crows might carry can either be carried by other species that are much more likely to be an issue (starlings) or aren't going to be spread to you by a crow anyway.

man, crows are alright.

Just catch their eye and start throwing them some french fries or something. You will quickly become a demi-god to them and they'll start bringing gifts. Most of those gifts are trash but sometimes it's a coin or a ring.

We have some fat happy crows in my hood.
There is a big construction dumpster on our street and the work crews of course throw all their lunch trash into it. Every afternoon those birds come enjoy a feast

Their million year plan to take over the world is finally coming to fruition. I knew it had to be any day now.

Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered tigerdroppings, weak and weary,

Over many a quaint and curious posters, rotten and poor

While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there they came all fapping

As of some one gently rapping, rapping in the Outdoor Board

“’Tis some visitor from that OT,” I muttered, “Fapping at nsfw porn”

Only this and nothing more.”

Wish they would update the list for birds who no longer migrate. Like Canadian Geese and Crows.

Did it speak with an accent?

There are far more birds on that list that aren't "migratory". The point of the list is to manage birds that cross political boundaries with consistency. You can't have one state allowing the wholesale slaughter of crows while others throw the book at you for destroying a nest.

My son shot one with his pellet gun a year or so ago and it died, but was stuck at the top of a tree.
A little while later about 20 of those loud fckers showed up and were circling around for about five minutes.
I guess it was their funeral for the dead friend or something.

Come work at a Recreation Dept. By the time we get finished picking up the trash from the ballgames from the previous night, them sumbitches come through and throw everything out the trash barrels before we can get them dumped in the dumpster. Then, if you forget to close the dumpster lid, they pick everything out that and throw it on the ground.

Yes, unless there is a depredation order. You can shoot them during hunting season, not year-round.
