Middendorfs is meh! Spahrs is definitely better.
I want to go try Clesi’s in Nola. Great guy and was voted best fried fish in the city.

Around here, no one really stands out, but Robbie G's and Tunk's are my favorite.

That restaurant will be in the north. Rednecks fry better than coonasses and New Orleans isn’t even in the conversation if we are being truthful.

Catfish Cabin’s whole catfish are works of art.

It is how they cook it. They batter it, instead of breading it and they do not have a clue what seasoning is up here.

Damn I forgot about that place! You could barely walk out of that place due to the over eating. Is it still open, because it has been at least 20 years since I ate there?

Is the Spahr's in Thibodaux owned by the same family, with the same recipes?

Catfish Cabin was originally El Chico's in the 1960s...

The old Cypress Inn up in Benton before in burnt to the ground.

Damn, now I’m starving for a small, whole catfish with the tail.

I second that OU. I live in Virginia and have yet to find good fried catfish

Another vote for Port au Prince on Lake Claiborne. Damn fine catfish. And it’s not that Chinese crap either.

Not as bad as your taste buds.

Cajun catfish used to be really good but after KW passed several years ago it's just not the same.

Apparently all of you complaining about the thin fried aren’t aware Middendorf’s have a thick fried catfish as well. And the whole catfish is great too.

Chris's Restaurant In Loranger. Best catfish I’ve ever eaten. The catfish never has that strong fish taste that catfish normally have and I’ve eaten there many times. The best part is it’s 10.99 all you can eat
