Why does a bass boat need to go 102 mph?

Because bass fishermen are some of the dumbest, most arrogant, inconsiderate, small penis complex having people out there. I tell my brother all the time how big of assholes bass fishermen are, and I am a bass fisherman.

Meh... Boat Nutz
Saw 74 in a buddy's SCB and he had more in the throttle but not with me in it. Water gets hard as concreke after 50 mph.

I would add "tournament" before this. It all comes down to a race to spots on the morning of a bass tournament and minimizing your driving time during a tournament.

I fish with a guy who wants to get his own boat. I've explained the ethics of it and he's still fricking clueless. I'll be idling into a cove and he'll say, "Go up a little farther and jump in front of these guys." or "That guy behind us just caught one, lets pull closer and see what he's throwing."

My buddy told me a story about a guy in his club that ran a bullet. He said this one particular body of water bottlenecked down to a canal that you had to go through. He said the guy would purposefully take off last just so he could outrun everyone to the canal. He said by around 10:00 the bullet guy would be sitting at someone's camp drinking beer. He didn't even really fish the tournament. He just wanted to outrun everyone.

I went 68 in a skeeter one time. One time

My Bass Tracker does a blistering 28. The older I get the happier I am with that.

26 in my flatboat is fine with me. I’m so damn worried about hitting something in the marsh

I remember going 55 in a bass boat and being pretty scared. 30 seems reasonable enough where I usually fish. I can see if you have a long run to want some speed.

How fast I would be comfortable going all comes down the the type of boat I’m in. Ive been 70mph in a 21’ Ranger and it felt like riding in a car. I have been the same speed in a Blazer and thought I was going to die. lol That was just running the boat for fun in a open lake.

The majority of places I fish 40mph is probably pushing your luck. My boat doesn’t do over 50 so I’m good. lol

My flats boat tops out at 60 and I rarely get it over 50. Mostly stay at 45. Biggest reason is at 60 it drinks gas like no ones business.
