Video reminds me of why I don't run a Pad V's anymore, good thing they are young, I'd be laid up for a month. In other news, Mercury is announcing their most powerful outboard yet in June.

Video should remind you and everyone else why you don’t go 102mph in a damn bass boat

No wonder why, they were foreigners. A plant baw that fishes club tournaments on the weekend would have had that baby at 110 easily

70 is the point where I decide that 40 is fast enough

I like to run about 3/4 throttle and cruise at a smooth 46 mph in mine.

Yeah, that's way too fast for me. Fastest I've ever been in a bass boat is 75mph and that was just to avoid some rain. Screw that.

Maybe I'm a dumbass, but what the hell happened? I'm not sure I understand what a blowout is on a boat. Looks like he just lost control. At least they had kill switch and life jackets on, but I bet he wished he had a helmet.

At least they had life jackets. Wonder how sore they were the next day or how much it stung hitting the water at 100 mph after the adrenaline wore off.

I hit an underwater log going 45 a few weeks ago. Scared the shite out of me. Can’t imagine going over 100.

I did 70 in a Pantera bass Boat with 200 merc in 1994 and the water was like glass. That was nerve wracking for me.

100 mph is asking for it.

Basically it's when the prop stops grabbing water. Usually caused by improper engine height or improper trim causing the boat to fall off the pad. I will go with both on this instance, he had the hydraulic jack plate jacked to the moon. Along with being a dumb arse for putting a 400 on a bass boat.

Had that happen to me and some buds when I was younger. Driver flew out, boat motor cover hit me in the leg and almost broke it, and then hit my buddy in the face and he had to get 10 stitches. We were only going like 40
