Clock starts today, 120 days to come into compliance.
This is not meant to be an opinion poll, just a notification. We've been waiting on this to happen, to know when it becomes "real", and today it has.

Is this not expected to be contested in court?

Here's a question I have, because I don't understand "legal" beyond the layman's knowledge:
the ATF is offering a 120 day grace period in which you could register it as a SBR, and waive the $200 tax fee.
Is that something that can be delayed while the suits are processed, or can the ATF start the clock on the "free SBR" period today? I wonder, they didn't HAVE to offer that option, you simply could destroy the brace and go from there (keep the gun as a pistol and not surrender anything).
If you ultimately want an SBR, it would be good to know if you can wait on this, or you "have to" do it now.

Shockwaves/Tac-14’s we’re also affected.
If you put a brace on it, you gotta take it off.
Or register it of course.

ATF can kiss the direct center of my a-hole. 120 days or otherwise, the courts are going to put a halt to this. Just wait it out.

There are no options to register for a SBS (Short Barreled Shotgun) with waiver on the tax stamp, unlike the SBR deal. If you register, you have to pay the fee.
But, you are 100% correct about having to remove it. The basis of the rule is- a brace is a stock. If that holds, then a brace is a stock anywhere, including a shotgun. You can not put a shotgun stock on a Shockwave, it immediately turns it into a SBS. So this would be the same exact issue as putting a Mossberg 590 stock on your Shockwave.

The atf is a terrrorist organization and as such, I will not follow the directions that a terrorist gives me.

Trump did it and people cheered. He didn't even give people any options either.

It was dumb what he did and no one with a brain cheered.
