First pickup day for the first cooler I left work early and went straight to Baton Rouge and picked up my order and an order for another OBer who responded to my offer post. No problem at all. But I was also one of the first to send money. I’d pretty much forgotten about the deal until he posted the tracking for the container ship. Overall great experience here, but after bannation thing certainly got a lot less organized.

No, it's that you have zero self awarness and are a complete douche in just about every thread. The OB would would have zero OT elements if you had never found it. You contribute nothing.

I've started zero trouble in this thread. But of course you couldn’t see the forest from the trees.

Never heard of you before reading the cooler deletion thread linked earlier in this thread.

I read all that cluster of complaints and explanations, etc. It sounded like a complete mess.

You come of like a sad, pathetic whining prick of a teachers pet wanna be.

Now I am sure that does not accurately describe your character so please don't take offense...just wanted you to realize a non OBer has the same opinion as OBers.

Ordered 4 early, advised I was out of town for work during first container and would get them during second container. Second container arrived, went to location, picked up all 4 with no problems.

Majority of people had the same pleasant experience as you. I think the problem that evolved was when he took on too many orders from guys that weren't local and then trying to coordinate a pickup. I spoke with Leigh for a few minutes at the first pickup and I can honestly say that he definitely wasn't trying to rip anyone off or scam anyone.

People only placed those orders because he told them he could do it. He told me and plenty others that he goes to Mobile every week. It never happened so I drove to Lucedale on the third container (after paying last September) to pick mine up.

His mistake was that he sold a lot of coolers to walk ups at the first and second containers and that fricked over a lot of people who paid him first and up front. He was striking while the iron was hot....don’t blame him really.

I’m just saying all this because it’s fact. I hold no Ill will and appreciate what he did.

I have no dog in the fight, but I'm pretty sure this is wrong. I think I remember him saying he had a bunch of a size no one originally ordered or wanted on the first pick up that's why he sold them off. It's pretty hard to blame someone for selling something as large as a cooler if you didn't show up. What the hell does one do with even just 5 not to mention 10-20+ large coolers?

NC seemed like a genuinely good guy that got caught up in something that got out of control. Why he hasn't made amends by a refund or whatever by now I don't know. He seemed well enough off I don't think he stole anyone's money or meant to keep it.

I also agree though, if you bought one from out of state and couldn't be there for their original delivery location you had to know that was a bad idea. Even if he took a F250 all around the south, there's only so many coolers that fit in a truck bed.

And hell year delivering them and meeting up with multiple people is a huge PITA.

I've been wondering if he is sitting on a warehouse of coolers in Mississippi, and whether it is worth a drive over to try to pick up a couple of the small ones. Things are real quiet and it's clear that any organization has pretty much broken down.

I can say that did not happen at the northshore pick up. I was there the whole time.

He let me pick them up from his house. If he was trying to screw people he never would have had me over to his home. Things got a little crazy when he got banned. Sorry for the folks who didn’t get theirs but I can’t see a guy I’ve never met have me come to his house if he was out to get people

I don't think he was trying to screw people, and like I said earlier, PayPal refunded my money so I'm not mad at him.

But his problem since the whole banning has been communication. I mean, it's 2018, it's easy to talk to people. But he just stopped giving us updates. There was a guy from Missouri that took time off work, drove to Memphis and paid for a hotel because NC said he was delivering them to Memphis on December 21st. As of December 20th he emailed us and said everything was good to go and he would give us pickup location here.

Then, crickets... Not a call, text, or email that something had gone wrong. Then about a month later he finally emailed about the issues with the sizes on the second container and promising us that we would get our stuff on the 3rd or 4th container in February. Now it's may and those guys that didn't get their money back have still not gotten their coolers or heard any update.

And once again for everyone saying that we shouldn't have expected him to deliver them all over the south, that was his plan. I didn't force him to promise to come to Memphis, he told me he would be coming up here for a drop off

I thought the whole idea was great. I would have ordered one if I lived in BR, but I would never take time off work and pay for a hotel to pick up a cooler. order an rtic and have it delivered in 2 days.
