re: Pixel 3a is only $399 and Google Fi customers can get a $100 credit - dltigers3
Got my 3a xl in today. So far so good. The screen seems better than my pixel 2. The phone also seems just as snappy, and my pixel 2 never had issues. Can't tell about battery life yet because the phone only had 64 percent battery when I unboxed it. I've been using it pretty heavily since 7:30 this m...

How is the battery life on the 3axl? I just ordered mine. I use total wireless, was able to get a iPhone 6 for 39 bucks on there, traded it in for 250 through Google I use a pixel 2, somewhat concerned about going to a bigger phone, but my battery life sucks on my 2. I'm going to hold on to ...

re: Best DIY spray for mosquitos? - dltigers3
I use talstar, seems to work well. Also placed some Spartan eradicators this year. Hopefully we won't have any mosquitoes...

re: Do Spartan Mosquito Eradicators Work? - dltigers3
I just got a 2 pack from my local nursery for 19.95. will report back in a couple of weeks. Of course, I also just spray talstar, which is usually pretty effective. I'm hoping the combination of talstar and Spartan really takes care of them....

re: A/C unit freezing-AGAIN - dltigers3
Have them leak test it first. Mine did the same thing, they kept filling it with more freon, finally they leak tested it and couldn't find a leak. Had a second HVAC guy come out, and he said it was way overfilled with freon, and discovered the condenser was shot. Replaced that under warranty and nev...

re: New AC Unit vs Split Unit - dltigers3
Sorry I didn't respond sooner. Turn your unit back on and go outside. Ensure that your outside fan is spinning. If it isn't, get a stick and try to spin the blade clockwise mannually. If it starts spinning on its own, could be a bad capacitor, or just fan motor starting to wear out. If it won't spin...

re: New AC Unit vs Split Unit - dltigers3
If it isn't blowing cold, turn it off asap. If the fan isn't spinning or the lines are frozen outside you could do a lot more damage by continuing to run it. It could he as simple as a bad capacitor which is a $20 part. There are several troubleshooting steps you can check yourself to narrow ...

re: Need to poison rats eating in squirrel feeder... - dltigers3
Take a 5 gallon bucket, fill it about 1/3rd with water. Pour in a bag of whole sunflower seeds so you can't really see the water anymore. Place a piece of 1x4 like a ramp up the side and leave a trail of sunflower sees. I killed off alot of rats and Chipmunks over the years like this and never h...

re: What color mulch do you prefer/use in your flowerbeds...red, brown, or black? - dltigers3
I started using pine bark nuggets a few years ago. I really like the look, it starts out reddish and eventually fades to a grey. I usually just add a couple bags to topcoat my beds each year to add some color back. The only problem is it is so lightweight, it tends to wash away in a couple of my bed...

re: Lawn irrigation - dltigers3
I did my front yard last year, and just did my backyard this year. Last year I bought the rainbird diy kit from home depot. It came with 6 heads, a hose end timer, and 150' of poly tubing. It was pretty easy to install. This year I did my backyard, which is oddly shaped. I am using 4 orbit pro gr...

re: Netgear Orbi or Google mesh? - dltigers3
Can't comment on the Netgear... But I've had the Google mesh system for a while now and it is the best WiFi router I've ever owned by far. Extremely reliable, great coverage, and fast speeds than what I'm paying for...
Costs more than my 4x4 F250  Smaller  Less capable  No thanks
Here is the problem with your statement, you are applying your situation to everyone else. While I agree that f250s can be more capable to some, that doesn't mean they are more capable to all. I traded in...

re: Why are Tacomas so popular? - dltigers3
Oh, I'm not arguing that the kr or Denali don't offer more features, but a they should really be compared more to the trd off-road, as the pro offers the same features as the off road, with different suspension, and other trail crap. It is like comparing a King ranch to a raptor. The King ranch is n...

re: Why are Tacomas so popular? - dltigers3
My question back to you is are they really the same price as a full size? A quick Google search shows the base price for a Tacoma being 25k, an f150 28k, and a Silverado 40k. While there isn't a huge difference in the f150 and Tacoma, it is cheaper, and I'd imagine that f150 price is for somethi...

I will try that. I only rough sanded it last night to get the marks out. I didn't have any 1000 grit paper. Will be making a trip to Lowe's to get some and some rubbing compound tomorrow...

Repairing finish on cultured - dltigers3
So I replaced out cultured marble countertops about 6 months ago, and we were out of town this week when our house sitter left a hair straightener on our new tops leaving two yellow burn marks. I sanded out the marks, but now it is scuffed and dull in that area. Luckily it's in a corner so it's not ...

re: Pex vs Copper - New Home Construction - dltigers3
Copper pipe with a pinhole leak can also spray a must that goes undetected. My neighbor had a pinhole leak behind his wall in the kitchen, the tile only ran up to the cabinets so it was damming the water under the cabinets. It leaked until it finally filled up and came over the tile....
