In Louisiana, it’s against the law to harass people legally engaged in outdoor activities.

Looks like OK has a similar law.

As it is in most states. That’s not what I’m saying. People get shot or hurt or go to jail every day for things just as dumb. The video was probably an escalation after the idiots in the aluminum boat cussed them out for awhile.

The bass guys may have been legal, may have been in the right, but my point is why put up with that?

I leave well before it would get on video if I can. Life’s too short to deal with idiots like that.

Who knew you could post water in Oklahoma?
Bass boat boys needs to do an Olympic anchor toss and hit the gas on that Opti.

Who knew you could gate in Louisiana?

People fish another state’s waters all the time. People post signs all the time that aren’t true. No wake zone signs are very popular for private people to post that isn’t true.

But is it still worth it? Lot of lake to fish most likely, I fish to relax not listen to or deal with idiots.

If I'm legal, not hurting anyone, not destroying property and I'm catching fish...I'm probably not leaving because some assholes don't like it. I would, however, call the cops while I was being harassed.

I just received an email from the Tulsa Corps of Engineers office. On Corps lakes (Cobb is not a Corps lake according to the email I received), the regulation is no fishing from a boat within 50 feet of a commercial marina. I emailed the Oklahoma Wildlife Department and they cannot seem to provide an answer for what the regulation is on lakes that are not Corps lakes.

Just saw this post on another site.

Now that we got that straight, what's the regulation for ramming another boat?

Looks like the kids get fined $50 bucks for fishing in a marina and the meth heads get to pay $5000 in damages.

IDK. My only point was at most the kids get some menial fine and the meth heads get sued for damages and possible civil crimes.

This is why you carry while fishing. Dude would have been swimming back to shore as his boat sank.

I hope you have more money than you do sense. You're going to need it. I don't think a gel coat repair is worth being charged with attempted murder.

Just curious, whats the penalty for a first offense assault and battery?

Because that's what i assume i would have been charged with after i beat the shite out of those guys with a boat paddle. Most of the gentlemen i fish with would have been down, as well.

Whole lotta talk about beating the shite out of them on this board. Gotta be honest, those 'ol boys look like they could hand out an arse beating more likely than them taking one. Got that meth strength.

IWNFW (i wd not fuk with) unless I had no other choice.

If someone repeatedly rams your vessel with theirs, it is entirely reasonable to disable theirs to prevent the imminent bodily harm those rammings might cause.

Nope. Disabling their boat by emptying a 9mm into the hull with them sitting in the boat is not an "entirely reasonable" solution. Not when the "ramming" is more "reasonably" described as bumping your boat. Particularly when all you have to do is start your boat, leave, and let the cops handle it. Handling this situation in the manner you suggest, IS what is going to get our guns taken away from us.
