Tell that to the buffalo I killed at 8,000 yards.

It’s the Florida Georgia Line of hunting calibers.

Hell of a good marketing plan though.

Itll be unseated in a few years by something more shiny. I do like how its brought the old 6.5x55 into the spotlight with it. Hopefully it'll drive some 6.5x55 sales and ammo choices.

Look at the ballistics. Everything beyond that is campfire bullshitting. Or marketing.

Accurate

I was listening in on some commentary last night about the .243 and 6.5 creed similarities.

Has a new cartridge ever taken off so quickly as the 6.5?

I know 7mag went mainstream really fast in the 60s but probably not like this.

Your hatred for a rifle caliber shows again. I feel sorry for you that you put so much effort into hating a cartridge.

Like downshift, I don't think you understand ballistics, energy or cause of death.

Don’t hate it. I do hate to see buyers getting duped into purchasing a Super Cartridge that really isn’t that.
If you hand load and shoot a lot of paper, it could be worthwhile.
For the average deer hunter, it doesn’t do anything better than what we already have.

If it wasn’t the Creedmoor it would be some other cartridge. That is how sales work.

I did find it interesting that they used a 190gr bullet for the .308.

It's fun to shoot with light recoil though. And ammo is cheaper and easier to find (Well it was). Let's see if the new 6.8 Western takes off.

Wait..... the .243 can’t be talked about positively. The super hunter tough guys say it’s weak and you must have a 300 winny to kill a 200lb deer.

And here we go. Talking bad about 6.5. cripplemore, is equivalent to talking about Sitka gear. 6.5 is a cartridge for the trendy figs.

I'd never heard of this cartridge until this year and have no idea what it is comparable to.
