San Antonio

We've had our feeders out a week now. First day we had a couple show up, increasing slowly since. We have 5 feeders in the front yard

Hadn't seen much at my house but was wearing a red columbia fishing shirt on Toledo this past weekend when one flew up and checked me out in the middle of the lake.

Went home and freshened up my feeders Sunday night. Saw a male on my lunch break Monday. I'm in NWLA.

I saw one last week in Baton Rouge, so I put out the feeders on Friday and have seen a few hitting them, but not as much as normal. There is a large honeysuckle vine not far from my house, so they may be hitting that hard.

A few showed up at the house in S Baton Rouge last week. Hitting perennial Salvia and Verbena which is now blooming, plus feeders.

It’s happening in NWLA. Increased activity the past week.

Not seeing a ton, but nearly every time I look I see one on one of my 5 feeders and can watch it until another runs it off. I calculate that to be 4-6 regulars hanging around as of now.

Damn I'm ready for mine to head south, got about 20
buzzing 2 feeders on the front porch. I have to fill
them up everyday. There's one female who comes to the
kitchen window stares in letting us know it's time
to fill them up. Bossy Bitch

None seen yet in Lake Charles. Saw quite a few Blue-Grey Gnatcatchers in the last few days. The leaves are starting to fall from a Green Ash tree in the back yard but it usually coincides with the arrival of the hummingbirds. Maybe because the temp was officially 99 degrees yesterday.

That's not the reason.

Still just have my 3 summer residents. Should pick up soon. Sticking with 2 feeders for now. Will get to 6-8 in a week or so.
