Nobody gives a shite about Ochsner.
Well....it is one of the largest hospital/healthcare systems in the state (if not the largest)....so I'm guessing some people do give a shite....I mean hell at very least they employ a lot of people.

I’m thankful that I’m able to work from home today in Nola. They’ll probably still let us sign off a little early to make sure our homes are prepped. I’ve been back in the office since summer but have a buddy who went back the other week and he needed to go downtown today. That doesn’t make sense to me

Point is, all of these male nurses should have been teachers with the amount of bitching and whining they are doing.

I was thinking 20 to maybe 30mph winds in Washington Parish but according to that map I need to get outside and take down Halloween decorations.

Pine trees will not uproot,
Laura says hold my beer. Honestly I wouldn’t have believed it if I hadn’t seen it with my own eyes. Tons of pines blown over at the roots. Plenty snapped in half also. Absolutely incredible show of nature’s force.

Just left the camp in Dulac. Wind is still minimal, but rain is starting to pick up. Most of the weekend warriors are prepped and gone while a few locals are just drinking beer on the porch swing
My best friend has a camp a few miles out in the marsh by boat from 4 Point Marina. The man across the channel from him pretty much lives in his camp. Last time I was there he was on the roof cussing at the top of lungs downing pints of shite whiskey. I can imagine him riding this hurricane out Lieutenant Dan style tonight.

I don't believe I've ever seen a pine tree uprooted.

It's def better if they uproot for cleaning purposes. Nothing more annoying then having to take stumps out of the ground

I have. Huge ones too.
Katrina did things to pine trees that were shocking. Hurricane sally uprooted pine trees over in fort Morgan and gulf shores and probably all over baldwin county
