This kinda demonstrates my point, no?

Work is about getting work done and going home at the end of the day, and not about appeasing people, or whether they are turned on or off.

In industrial work like O&G, offshore, maritime and other heavy industry, people tend to get along despite their differences because one wrong move or frickup can kill a bunch of people. People get into it all the time but typically resolve their differences on this account. White collar, not so much as it's a constant stream of drama and other bs not related to work.
