Yes. I inherited my mom's old Camry. They must have made a billion beige Camrys. I have something I hang from the rear view mirror to help me recognize mine.

That's brilliant. I thought my buddy and me were some of the few dumbasses to attempt this. I see now I was wrong.

wonder what that person thought when they saw their car lined up to park but left in aisle.

Probably questioned if they had actually parked it there

Yep. Me and another white Jeep Wrangler were parked at a pizza hut picking up orders once. I came out, not paying attention and sat in the driver's seat next to se woman I didn't know. It scared the shite out of both of us.

One lady started putting her child in my grandsons car seat.
She was so embarrassed but I found it funny

Drove a crappy grand am in high-school.

My key actually unlocked the door to an identical car. Realized when I sat down that it wasn’t mine, so I don’t know if it would have started it too.

I grabbed some money at the atm on base one night and went and jumped in my buddy’s car only to find out I missed by a couple of parking spots. The dude in the driver’s seat was as surprised as I was.

We were in Vegas going to dinner with a coworker and his wife in their rental car. He unlocked the car and cranked it, we got in and when my wife asked his wife where she had bought the nice painting in the back seat, they realized it was not the car thy had rented. Bizarre experience.

I tried to open the door to an SUV the same color as my wife's. A black lady was in the driver's seat, and her eyes got really big. I apologized, but I'm sure she has some stories to tell her friends about how she fought off a white supremacist at McDonald's one day.

So like, on purpose? No, I don't rob people like that.

Yep! Audi Q5 just like mine! And here's the kicker. It started! I just happened to look over when I was backing out and noticed some items that didn't belong to me. I wonder what would've happened if I'd driven home?

This exact same thing happen to me. I actually sat down before realizing my mistake. Older black lady eyes got wide as saucers. I apologized and we both had a good laugh. My wife watched whole thing unfold.

My dad was picking up parts at a tractor dealership about 10 miles from our farm and got in the wrong truck and drove it all the way back to our shop. The guy who owned the truck knew my dad so he drove my dads truck to our place and got his truck.
They are the same make model and color trucks.

I did this once. On the day I brought home my daughter's first car, I stopped to get some lunch. Because the restaurant was understaffed and/or had terrible service, I waited too long, got pissed and left without placing an order. I walked into the parking lot, still angry, and not totally familiar with my daughter's car, and got into another vehicle that was the same color. It was only when I looked at the dashboard, and tried to use the key, that I realized I was in the wrong car. Luckily that car was empty, so except for being embarrassed, I "got away with it."

My grandfather got the model T and was furious with my grandmother because she bought something from Sears and he wanted her to only buy locally. Then he realized when he got home that it wasn’t his car.
