Carful or that tard from the F/D board is going to berate you for threatening to feed possibly old lasagna to an infant or severely immunocompromised elderly person

I just fricking hate nausea worse than any feeling in the world. So I’m risk adverse as hell when it comes to food safety.

Give me a break.
I leave pizza out for three days while I'm finishing the leftovers.

To-go box of fried catfish from Georges. I was not successful re-heating it and thought it was awful.
Only an hour.
Only an hour.

Reminds me back in college, my roommate would order pizza for a party. Then leave it out on the counter and get up the next day and just grab room temp slices for lunch. Like why not just put it in the fridge man? I know “well it never hurt him!” But just why not refrigerate it
Do you know if you put food that is hot and tightly covered in the fridge too soon, it could go bad, too?

I am scared of leftover rice or leftover fried rice for some reason. I think I’ve heard horror stories about that, but I’m the queen of to go. I don’t like to over eat but like good food so it makes me mad to leave behind 1/2 of a nice meal.

If it’s a high fat or greasy item. It’s will last for a long time. A salad? Not so much. You have to use your brain with these decisions.

I used to ask for a box at a client dinner when I knew we were partying that night just to see which bar I left it in.

All the time. Because I bring a Cold Pak and blue ice with me when I know there will be leftovers. Planning. It’s what thinkers do.

My first job was at Gattis and I’d bring the leftover buffet home every night. We’d just put it in the microwave so no roaches could get on it. Would eat in it for days. No one ever got sick.
Quit being pussies people. People survived for thousands of years with no refrigeration.

You have several hours to get the food out of the danger zone. Then you only have to hest it to 160 degrees for 15 seconds. It isnt a big deal

Okay y’all I get that I’m wrong here
I promise y’all my manhood isn’t fully represented by my want to refrigerate food quickly, though some apparently take great pride in leaving it out.

One time I went to Wendy's and got one of those value meals with the little hamburgers, fries and nuggets. Anyway I get back to my apartment and start rummaging around and when I look through the Wendy's bag I couldn't find the burger. I just assumed the moron at the drive thru forgot to put it in.
Fast forward almost two years later and I had to move my refrigerator. When I did there was the little wrapped Wendy's burger that had slipped out of the bag and fallen off the counter many moons ago.
Out of curiosity I opened it up expecting something rancid that had decayed into goop. It was the EXACT same as the day they made it - looked no different. It even had a faint smell of a Wendy's burger. No decomposition at all.
TLDR - they put so many artificial additives and preservatives in food these days that we probably don't even need refrigerators.

Allah gave you a proboscis with a spoiled food gage built into it. Use that gift to sus out bad stuff and eat the rest.

There's only one way I can maintain looking like a stick of bacon with boobs. It's by not eating everything I see. I was notorious back in my day for eating half of a fast food double burger and leaving the other half on my dashboard for 6+ hours, finishing it later, and never getting sick.
That was in my younger years, before I got real jobs that have refrigerators in the break rooms, so those days are behind me. But I did it a helluva lot back in the day and never had an adverse reaction. I even did it in front of my then-horrified now-husband of over 25 years, and he can't believe I survived it unscathed, but I did.
The worst case of food poisoning I ever got was from a Cracker Barrel in the Midwest. I was spewing non-stop out of every orifice for 3 days straight from food that was served directly to me in a restaurant. You never know what's going to go wrong. Live life like food poisoning isn't watching.
