I’m the wife and no.. it wasn’t easy to go back to normal. Pregnancy made me feel like a starved deprived person eating for 3 ppl. I gained probably 50-60 lbs. Then my fun athletic lifestyle was gone and I had to be a mom to 2. It was hard or nearly impossible to return to the habits that burned calories. But tons of work and a little help from the medical community over several years paid off. After I returned to my appropriate weight (about 105-110) and maintained for a several years I went to the plastic surgeon and permanently repaired the damage pregnancy did. I’ve been fit and trim with a good build for 7 years. There would not be an industry for mommy makeovers if it was not significantly helpful. It helped me to gain back my confidence which worked in my marriage. My husband would have me walk around naked all day if I would comply.
JD doesn’t know what to do with his hands.
If it is the same pair from last season I am hoping they learned a few things about parenting. The one fledgling that made it out of the nest was so pressured and hungry it killed its sibling. Rough to watch.

He was on Tucker’s podcast a while back and they were pretty good together. Talked a little smack about the Episcopals that made me chuckle. Feels like it was months ago but the episode was posted 9/3.

I would think the primary risk was thought to be some deranged debater lunging for him or at worst pulling a close range weapon. That’s probably mostly what security hovered around for. I would not think that if they had any clue someone would snipe him they would have ignored it to save money.
Joe’s expressions and body language made me sad. The camera switched to sheen often, but when Joe was filmed you can see the pain.
My 16 year old daughter called me and sent one of the lesser graphic videos. I was driving so I didn’t look. It was 2:59 pm. She found my husband after she hung up with phone with me. He said she was crying and said “dad I would have loved to do what he did.”

I was just looking for hotels in early December, holy shite NYC hotels are a ton.

Same I was looking at October and my favorite hotel was easily double what we paid last time. Wall Street hotel was 4000 plus for 5 nights in their smallest king room. I think we paid 2700 for a very nice suite last time we went. Worth every penny at that rate. I love that place.
I am scared of leftover rice or leftover fried rice for some reason. I think I’ve heard horror stories about that, but I’m the queen of to go. I don’t like to over eat but like good food so it makes me mad to leave behind 1/2 of a nice meal.

You spelled cats wrong. You need to add an S for the plural. Just grab two. They are actually so cute and it’s a great sign that they came up. You’ll end up with two cats anyways. Just start now. I’m a little hesitant on the feral part but they’re so cute I couldn’t take spitting and hissing seriously. Just always wash and clean any bites and scratches.
Mine did the sneaking out thing last year. We contacted the police and had her and the little friend that was meeting up with her read the riot act by two local cops. Trespassing, out past curfew, whatever else they could think of. Had their IDs recorded too. Wink, nod and a handshake with the cops (who seemed to be thrilled to help) but she was shaken up. Installed surveillance everywhere covering our yard. Informed the neighbors and grandparents who live nearby. Took all of her stuff and grounded her for what seemed like forever but was about 6 weeks. Waited for signs of major humility, lesson learned etc. then she slowly got stuff back. She’s still capable of an I hate you but we just tell her either good or I love you back. Sign I am doing my job as a parent. This shall pass!

I’m torn bc you are being noble and trying to get a little farm rascal, but for your daughter’s sake it might be better to find one that’s not feral? Better yet you should really get two, but the chance of any little hissy pants being a cuddler is probably 25%. That 60$ adoption fee covers spay/neuter and lots of first shots and deworming. You’re gonna pay 150-300 for that at the vet on a healthy parasite free kitty. We have a huge 17 lb boy that we got for my daughter during Covid and he has turned us into cat ppl. Picked up a grey tabby crackhead at petsmart and they are good buddies now. I hope your daughter gets her baby soon!

I don’t get the hate. I love mine. As a grownup (once the babies and Labradors came into the pic) I’ve driven Yukons, Tahoe’s, Mercedes and now I have ‘24 x5 m sport. My Tahoe and Yukon both had lifter issues. Then Tahoe the magnetic ride went out. Expensive repairs!! But the x5 is my favorite car. Yes it was pretty pricey, but a loaded genesis is within a few thousand and there is no comparison to a bmw. My gle had about 100 less hp at the same trim level and similar pricing. I learned how to buy a car and negotiate properly and have many years of maintenance/warranty coverage built in. I was patient and shopped all over Louisiana before stumbling upon bmw woodlands who was EXCELLENT in working up a better deal by thousands (13!!) than anyone else could. I had a nail in a run flat the other day and it cost me 50 to replace it. I pay nothing for routine maintenance. They asked me to buy their warranty products and I told them I’d like to buy but was plainly too expensive. They needed to come down A LOT and they did. BMW woodlands made me a bimmer owner at least for the future.

You can change that in the settings for each driver. I hated that! I drive an x5 and it would dang near jerk the wheel out of my hands if I lane changed and didn’t use a blinker.
Yes but it was an ex lap in an emergency. They found all of my small bowel in the wrong place. I had a large adhesion as well they cut down. But it was an internal hernia. I had an incision from under my ribs to the top of my belly button. It has healed nicer than most of my stomach scars. As a bikini wearer I appreciate that. It was also not as painful of a recovery as I thought it would be. Chronic abdominal pain is pretty rough.

Currently watching the upgrade board obsessively to see if we’ll get an upgrade. We are at the top of the list so far. Flight has been delayed. Crew just showed up. Thankfully our next one is delayed too?
Thank you both.Yes the new inbound is at gate c6. It was a different plane, but that one never made it out of atl. Hopefully we get lucky and just a little delay as they try to get back on track. We can easily make an hour connection. I was just losing my wits thinking they would delay again and again. My out island travel groups are always a mess with this kind of stuff. For some islands if you miss one the next flight is 3-4+ days later. That's why we picked ELH this year and not GGT.
You're very right. Thanks for the reminder. Looks like our aircraft just left the gate in ATL.

ETA : nevermind.. inbound canceled.
We were scheduled to go from MSY to ATL at 7 am tomorrow 6/29. Just received a delay notification. Says its now 7:30 am. We had a 1.5 hour layover before going on to ELH (eleuthera bahamas). IF we are not delayed again it'll be tight. Only one flight per day to ELH. Glad I purchased travel insurance. Frick.
My mother drives a POS ford focus as a company vehicle. It’s free so she doesn’t complain but it’s probably 8-9 years old and a shitbox that is too small to be safe. So when she takes the grandkids on vacation and my dad isn’t going along she rents a bigger car.
