Bryan underwent a full review of his medical history and received comprehensive neurological and physical evaluations independent of WWE. He was cleared by each doctor as well as WWE's Medical Director, Dr. Joseph Maroon.

The thing I like the most about pro wrestling is that it has fans the world over. You might have friends that are wrestling fans and you would never know.
But to answer your question, Daniel is a pro wrestler that had to retire a few years ago due to head and neck injuries. He was cleared to return to the ring by many doctors, but WWE and their doctors wouldn't clear him for many reasons. He has now been cleared by WWE doctors to return to the ring. Daniel Bryan is probably one of the most popular wrestlers of the past decade. It's looking like he will get back in the ring at this year's Wrestlemania in New Orleans which is where four years ago he won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in probably one of the greatest wrestling storylines ever told.

What is the difference between pro wrestling and a TV series you watch every week? Both are "fake".
Sure, it's lost it's luster over the years for various reasons. Just like any TV show some storylines hit and are great and compel you and others stink up the joint and take you out of it. Either way a suspension of belief is required. It's fun especially live and it's interactive.
