What is the difference between pro wrestling and a TV series you watch every week? Both are "fake".

It's probably comparable to network TV, which is also terrible

I don't disagree, but my point remains. I view the Attitude Era (which is eveyrone's barometer for pro wrestling) as like being today's Netflix shows. It was so hot and mainstream because of Stone Cold and Rock and those guys.

WWE these days has some great wrestlers and guys that could be over insanely on the mainstream, but for one reason or another the WWE can't get there.

TV quality used to be really bad in general. Now, there are so many good things to watch that I couldn't possibly spend time watching something like wrestling.

Meh. As long as they keep his vanilla midget arse on Smackdown.
Or maybe he can finally have his "dream" match with Brock and die in the ring.

Was at both X7 and 30, and I would say the pop for Bryan was bigger than the pop for Stone Cold. Yes Movement was something truly remarkable in terms of how it was booked, how the crowed reacted, and in ticket sales.

This is a big fricking deal. I'd love to see him weekly in a storyline and actually work a match twice a month on Smackdown or so.

Wrestling will never be as cool as it was in the late 90s. There was an elementary school in my district that sent letters home to parents and banned kids from wearing NWO shirts and throwing up the 2 Sweet/4 Life because they thought it was gang related.
Meanwhile, today's WWE is all about "philanthropy" and trying to make people care about women's wrestling.

Epic, that's cool...different strokes and all that, but I'll never bash someone else for what they like to watch (not saying you are).

Bryan was and is still is considered a guy the every-day fan can associate with personally. I'm a 5'9" white dude, so it's hard for me to feel any sort of compassion or empathy for Braun Strowman or The Rock even though I'm fans of both. Bryan can be any one of us and that is what made/makes him so unique and so over.

I’m honestly surprised that he has been cleared. I think that Vince & Co. preferred him in a limited, non-wrestling capacity. He’s not a prototypical roided-out musclehead guy that they’d put on top, and a few years ago the fans basically demanded that and forced their hand. It’s obvious that Reigns and Strowman are the guys they want to push, and Bryan and his fans will throw a monkey wrench into the entire thing by hijacking things and demanding that he be on top again. I guess he forced their hand again because he was serious about jumping ship and they just couldn’t let that happen.

It's also a political play. Rumor has it that hew as in discussions to appear at All In. He also said that he would leave WWE in September to go wrestle somewhere else. I think he'll now re-sign and work a limited schedule. Plus, he'll save the ratings.

He'd be good on 205 Live.

Similar situation with Shawn Michaels —he was gone for a while and rumors went around that his neck and back were crumbled. Then he came back, better than ever. It’ll be interesting to see if Bryan wants to return full-time, or in a limited role.

True and HBK didn't do a lot of live events in that second run to save him. He also changed his style to protect himself more. Bryan will have to work more of the "WWE Style" which isn't a bad thing.

If you hate it so much you should probably stop posting about it.
