Women's wrestling isn't a big deal outside of WWE. You don't see much of it in ROH or NJPW. Seems like if there was a huge demand we would see more of it on the indys. WWE has done a good job pushing it but I don't think its as popular as they want it to be.

Meanwhile, they're running some giant show in Saudi Arabia and none of the women are wrestling. I'm SHOCKED that WWE is once again being hypocritical.

You’re an idiot if you think women’s wrestling was better or more over then. It’s not. I was a teenager when all that was going down so of course I loved it but women’s wrestling today is so damn entertaining today and they can put on some damn good matches.

And yet Sable (and even Chyna) did multiple Playboy covers that sold like gangbusters. These girls today can't even get in the building.

That's a wild oversimplification of things.

Way too many variables involved to point to any one thing.

ROH has a tournament to crown their first women’s champ and Shimmer is doing well - it’s still growing. WWE got their first

The point is they shouldn't be having a show there in the first place but money talks. The ONLY reason they removed Moolah's name is because Snickers wanted them to.
May as well have a show in North Korea like WCW did back in 95.

As opposed to thinking that they're making more money than ever (they aren't) because women are the best thing on the shows.

more over then

It was absolutely more over then....Sasha, Charlotte, Bayley, Paige, etc don't get near the crowd reaction that Sunny, Sable, Marlena, Chyna, etc got in their primes.

What people don't understand is that there is a reason they haven't tried hard to mine the PPV watches data from WWE Network and release it.

The kicker is....in the hay day (Attitude Era) more people paid 50 bucks a pop to watch PPV's than watch them now on the network. The reason the network has so many subscriptions, and generates so much revenue, is because it contains the attitude era PPVs from WWE, WCW, and ECW all in one place.

I didn’t say they are making money because women are the best thing on the show.

They are making more money because of the network and their international presence.

Am I of the belief that women’s wrestling is better today than before? Absolutely. Am I of the opinion that I enjoy more women’s segments than men’s these days? Yes but that it isn’t what is driving their business.

Don’t put words in my mouth or assume the two are mutually exclusive

That’s a fair point LSU but to say that Sasha Banks and Charlotte Flair are less over than Marlena is absurd

No I was proven right to show they have hit record revenue numbers. I never argued that revenue was because of women’s wrestling.

I argued that women’s wrestling is better today than ever before.

Two different arguments.
