How about buying a house where a muder is going to happen?

What if you bought the house and learned about it after the fact ?

I was reading about a murder a few days ago in Alabama where the 16 year old son stabbed his mother and his 2 twin 13 year old brothers to death.

AL.com

I'm guessing that will be a difficult house to sell.

No way I could live in a house where something like that happened.
Yes, I wouldn't really care. I've lived in some pretty old houses, I'm sure someone has died in at least one of them. Hell, someone may have been murdered in my current home for all I know.

We had a house built around 15 years ago. The day before we moved in somebody engraved "HELP ME" in our bedroom. Directly above where the bed goes. We sometimes see something out of the corner of our eye going from room to room down at the end of the hallway. My wife told the kids that it's our gaurdian angel.

If I painted home interiors, I'd always write "I'm under the bed" in glow-in-the-dark paint above the bed at the end of a job

St Amant. I wish I would have taken a picture of the words. It looked like a first grader did it 6 feet off of the ground

What sucks is that when the painters fixed it, they didn't get the texture the same on the wall.

Sure because ghosts aren't real. As long as it was cleaned up, I'd consider it along with my other house prospects.

Someone sold a house with blood still in it from a suicide?

Almost bought one where someone committed suicide but it didn't hang in the market long enough for me to snap it up.

Twas by a gun was the rumor. Dunno if it was even true but the person did die and it was gross cause they had a cleanup crew ripup the carpet and fakcers didn't haul it away. City got involved in it.

Hell yeah if I could get it for cheap.. I'd fix it up and make it look different so people wouldn't see it as "the house where someone was murdered" then sell it.

Do houses like that typically sell at a discounted rate?

Like Poltergeist? That would be a big no for me.

There was a guy down my street in Kingwood that won the Texas Lotto a few years ago. Maybe more like 10+ years ago. It was not stupid high money. Maybe $5M. He had every swinging pecker in the world hitting him up and he finally said no to everybody but felt bad and shot himself. Word is that house is haunted and multiple families have moved in and right on out of that house since.

regular murder? sure, as long as they cleaned it up properly, who cares.

We're buying a place currently, had the home inspection yesterday. The inspector told us about a colleague of his that was doing an inspection with prospective buyers. The inspection ended early when the buyers went into a bedroom and saw the outline of the previous homeowner's body on the floor. The man had died, the body went undiscovered for awhile, the cleaners were unable to remove his death image from the hardwood. Thanks but no thanks, later.

No freaking way.

There is a house that I pass everyday going to work. The dad of the original house put plastic bags over his 3 kids and his wife. Shot them each in the face. Lit the house on fire and then shot himself. There was so much court litigation over the property that the empty, burned down house sat there for about 4-5 years.

Finally, it was resolved and someone put up a McMansion on the site To this day, I wonder if it's haunted.

But did you get a good deal on the house? For future reference, how much depreciation could I expect if I wanted to make murder home real estate flipping my business model?

HGTV already has some shows with inspirational names that I could borrow from:
Flip or Flop
House Hunters
Good Bones
Rehab Addict
ColorSplash

It’s like they’re dancing around my future show name but not quite nailing it down.

Perp likely locked up or dead and I don’t believe in ghosts. So, yes.
