That shite’s heartbreaking. Hope you eventually got another good boy.

I mean if someone willingly insists I take like $1M who am I to say no, but under normal circumstances no. People would need to be more concerned I will keep their dog if its cool and gets along with my pup James Jonas.

Thousand dollars from some rich arse? Yeah sure.
Hundred bucks from some poor family or kid? shite no.

Well yeah. Why else would I have stolen it in the first place?

No, the reward would be seeing the family and their happiness for finding their dog!

It is the only way I return one.

Hey Todd, I found your dog.....

Times are tough and AI is taking over fast, I'd probably hold the dog hostage for a larger reward.

I would not ask for one if I randomly found someone’s dog, but if one was offered before hand, I would absolutely accept it.

One million dollars is your point where you begin to consider it?

I was camping solo in bfe Mississippi and a hunting dog came into my tent. Freaked me out because it was pitch black. It was crying and lost. But had a radio collar.
I had cell service so i called the number on the collar.
The guy wouldn't walk through the scrub to get the dog. So i walked the dog to the guy.
He then picked the dog up and threw it.
The guy looked like Kevin Nash and was heavily armed so I didn't say anything. The dog ran back after me. Even though I was canoe camping I almost stole that dog. Even now years later I regret not taking that dog. It followed me along the river barking. It was trying to get away.
But my reason was my dog at home was old and dying and i didn't want to make her feel replaced.

It would depend on the circumstance.

A wise man once told me that when someone insists on giving you money, you take it.
If they didn't want to give it to you they wouldn't offer, thus refusing it is rude and embarrassing to the offering party.

I wouldn’t, but I’m not going out and looking for a dog.
True.
If I see a dog away from a residence sniffing around and behaving like animals do, I don’t think twice about it. It’s not my business. I’m just not wired to think that animals need to be dependent on humans. They are capable of figuring shite out.
Now Karen, on the other hand… Karen will approach the poor fur baby, tell it that it’s a good boy (in English rather than barking), and snatch it.
If you snatch a dog, you rescued it. It doesn’t work with children OT - observe from a distance and call a witness.

Has happened twice. Both times i refused. Second one I got a cookie bouquet delivered a week later and on the card they said “we insist on giving you something” lol

Depends.
My neighbor down the street ? No.
Mark Zuck’s dog? I might hold his dog hostage.

Of course. Why wouldn’t you?
