re: So if Napoleon wins Waterloo, does it merely prolong the inevitable?

If Napoleon had won at Waterloo in 1815, he probably wouldn’t have been able to simply restore the First French Empire to its pre-1814 position. However, a victory could have significantly altered the political situation. At that point, the Allies were determined to remove him from power.

Do you mean when the Big Ten and SEC break away and form their own league?

With what they’re paying him, they’re giving him additional responsibilities to justify his salary.

Means nothing! It’s a long season, and where you’re ranked only matters at the end.
The WNBA is pathetic! What a crap show!

I was there today and got to watch Sam play before play was suspended. He should have a great shot at winning. He says he loves this course and thrives on tough golf courses. Muirfield Village leaves very little room for error, and Sam has been playing well all week.
The Knicks have the Cavaliers’ number - they’re living rent-free in their heads.

As for the Knicks - who, by the way, seem to be completely in the Cavs’ heads, since Cleveland can’t seem to beat them at all - you would think they would’ve called a timeout after an 18-1 run. But no, let’s just keep letting the Brunson stay hot!

re: PGA Tour may want to continue to skip Doral(tv ratings are now in-FAILURE)

I disagree - Doral is a great course, and I was glad to see it back on the Tour. The issue is that it needs to be part of the Florida swing in March. The PGA should also move the PGA Championship back to August.

I saw Dusty May said this week they basically need $10 million minimum per year to stay competitive.
He is a great coach!
I've been seeing a lot of info about he Newton Shaft, especially on the Champions Tour. Has anyone played these shafts yet? If so, what are your thoughts?

I was trying to say the PGA Championship should be moved back to August
I completely agree. I miss when the PGA was held in August, it felt like it had its own identity. Now, it seems crowded among so many major events on the calendar. Moving it back to August would help it stand alone again.

100% - they sound like gunshots going off

Has to be the “flop shot” at the 2012 Memorial. Announcers talking about how difficult it was.
I’ve been to the Memorial several times. The 16th hole is one of the toughest par 3s on tour, if not the toughest. That flop shot is all downhill and extremely fast, running toward the water. For him to land it that softly out of the rough under pressure is exactly why he’s an icon. He’s done it on many occasions. Even Jack joked that he’s holed out at the Memorial more times than anyone he has seen.
re: Does anyone seriously believe Fernando Mendoza is going to be a great NFL QB?

Can any QB be successful in Las Vegas?
Scottie, but if Brooks can get his putting figured out, I think he could too.
He used a 9-Iron on hole 12
