When john wick cop tried to grab his car and stop it using brute force

He didn’t. But they will make up a bunch of bogus charges to justify being complete incompetent asshats. It’s what they do.

Rich athlete thinks rules don’t apply to him. Tale old as time
This was just stupid. I don’t feel that we are threatened by Scottie being in the loose

The "everybody who does something has to go to jail" (and then usually be overcharged) is a ridiculous trend.
This should have been a ticket, at most.
We went with a couple to a Dallas Cowboys game (they were are guests but he was driving) when the Cowboys were at Texas Stadium. Driver decides to cruise down the shoulder, passing everyone in line. I was mortified. Cop stops him "DO YOU WANT TO GO TO JAIL TODAY?" Guy replies "no sir, I don't think I'd like that today and I'm taking care of that."
It wasn't a bad way for both to handle it.
The "officer safety" stuff where they grab the arm and pull it outside and/or drag someone out of the car creates issues.
Being a cop is not as dangerous as many other jobs. Numerically, far fewer cops are shot and killed now than in the 60's and 70's (and there are far more cops today). The officer safety stuff works, but throwing people down on the ground or dragging them out of a car is used far too much.

The officer who was trying to stop him, was supposedly “attached” to the car for 10 yards and has “minor injuries”
Basically, fat cop tried to run him down to tell him to stop and was winded after running 10 yards

Imagine a cop doing this to Lebron as he pulled up to game 5 of the NBA finals. This is no different.
You’d have the naacp outside the police station and then Lebron having press conference after his release to tell everyone how he be hunted…

Maybe I’m wrong, but this all seems like an overreaction by a pissy police officer. Write Scheffler a ticket or whatever, but to drop an assault charge and a reckless driving charge on him is ridiculous.
I don’t think the police are going to find many people who are on their side in this case.

Any pictures, video or description of the officer? I heard the audio but don’t wanna be banned.

Yeah this sounds like overzealous cop didn't have his authoritah respected so he was gonna show Scottie who was in charge. If it's true that other golfers were going around traffic control and police were made aware of it, this dude is a clown for attacking himself to Scottie's car and making this a thing.
*Attaching, not attacking. But it sounds like he got himself attacked too

I mean, if you just want to ignore the fact that a pedestrian was just killed and this dude wants to ignore what they are telling him.
Kind of seems like both parties should just put their egos aside for a second. I'm sure there's another entrance the tournament could have diverted the golfers through while they sorted the death out.

Speak for yourself.
My doors are locked guns loaded and kids home from school on the off chance he leaves the pen and decides to come to south Louisiana.

So Darlington says in this clip that they were allowing players & coaches into Valhalla & no one else. Important detail to me. Not like Scottie was just blowing by everyone being like “do you know who I am”. Police department has some headaches coming.

Where was Ted when all this was happening? I kinda figured he would be driving but maybe he isn’t staying with Scottie. Weird. I watched the Golf Channel last night and Scottie stayed late at the course working on his grip on the range and putting with both of his coaches plus Ted.

Is this what gets conservatives to realize we need cop reform?
