Why would you need to reserve a rooftop for two people to ask a question

Absolutely just keep in mind how much you plan to spend on the ring because divorces are expensive and that's definitely your next big expense

I just find it weird that people are willing to do so much for social media as opposed to living in the moment with their new fiance

It always comes across that it’s more important to share it with the internet.

I got lucky in that my wife cares more about our dogs’ social media is more up to date than hers

frick all that shite.

I asked my wife to marry me while lying down on the couch (we were already cohabiting) when she came in from work one day. We had already talked about when we were going to do it and had decided that the moment I made a certain dollar amount per hr. we'd pull the trigger. I got a raise on this particular day, we went and picked out her ring that weekend.

(we are the most well adjusted and happiest together couple we know/have known going on 23 years.)

So basically, OP’s girlfriend proposed to him.

Did she at least ask your dad for his blessing first?

Tell her that you want to plan it, and you want it to be a time when it's just the two of you and no one else because this is the biggest moment for each of you to this point in your lives. As such you want to spend it with her and her alone.

Her reaction will reveal her motivations.

fareplay craves just as much attention on here as his future made up wife. That or he just desperately wants us all to know he’s got a girlfriend and sucks at relationships.

Don’t do it bro

Just knock her up and save the ring money and then she’ll get food stamps since she’s a single mom. Free steaks for you

Says the guy who eloped and got divorced, only to be shot down by his new girl's dad the first time he asked to marry her
